Simple question, I’m not super old so not sure what income demographic was back when, but an article I found said home owners have double the median income vs median income of the US. Was this always the case where single family homes are meant for the top 25% of society?

Plenty of places you can live an hour from work and afford a single family home, while not being rich.

This has only become an issue in this thriving economy that we have under Biden. He’ll be happy to tell you how great the economy is now, and how he’s fixed everything that Trump screwed up.

If you look at distribution of jobs it’s mainly core cities with suburbs being still very expensive (esp commuting costs). Something isn’t right with homeownership here

In metro Atlanta, a non rich family can certainly afford a single family home within a 1 hour commute of work. Even in a decent school district.

Looks like a poor is angry about their poor financial decisions again.

What is this “meant” business of which you ask? The product costs a certain amount and those who can afford it and want it will buy it. If you want to discuss why it costs what it costs or why certain people can or can’t afford it, fine. Otherwise, why are you suggesting there’s a purpose or motivation behind the relative costs and incomes?
