Creatine was popular when I was in college in the mid 90s and there seems to be a major resurgence in popularity, it’s all I hear my son and his friends talk about

Y’all have any recommendations for creatine that actually dissolves? The stuff I got will not dissolve unless it’s in hot liquid.

This is what I order off of Amazon. German creapure creatine, and it is almost powdery. I put a scoop in with my preworkout on days I'm lifting or going for a longer cardio/endurance ride, and just by itself on other days. About 5-6 oz of cold tap water and stir it for a few seconds with a spoon and it dissolves pretty quickly.

I've used that one before myself. I just ran out and replaced with a cheaper nutricost monohydrate.

Not sure about performance, but it damn sure retains water in your muscles.

Nowhere did I say to stop eating and use creatine instead. I eat between 16 to 24 oz of steak a day but I still use creatine just like I still drink one or two whey isolate shakes a day - as a supplement not to replace real whole foods. Creatine has benefits beyond exercise and muscle building as well.

I tried it for a while but I can't force myself to drink enough water through out the day and end up constipated. On the plus side no wiping is needed.

I order Creatine (Micronized) From Bulk Supplements. Its dissolved well and reasonably priced.

Anyone taking Creatine HCL? Thinking about ordering some. I’ve never taken a Creatine supplement

I ordered the below stuff off Amazon. I'm on my last day of loading. The stuff isn't powdery at all. Resembles sand and doesn't dissolve very well in water. I don't understand why some say theirs is powdery and some say theirs is a sand like consistency?

Warm water helps any of them to dissolve faster. If you're just putting it in water, about 4 oz of warm tap water and then stir it up for about 10-15 seconds and it should be good to chug. I also add mine to a protein shake from time to time, and I use a shaker with one of the wire balls. Never clumpy.

Anyone dry scoop creatine?
I just upped to 10g per day and have been shitting pebbles. Dehydration? No way I can drink more than a gallon and a half and still be dehydrated.

Why? You need water with creatine. There's no logical reason to dry scoop creatine or pre-workout etc. I try to get between 3.5 and 4 liters of water throughout the day. I don't chug it I just sip on it from 5AM to about 6PM. That's plenty of time to get your fluids in.

Because it’s quicker and easier to swish it around in my mouth than putting it in a big bottle of water and having to shake it in between sips.
But maybe it’s causing the issues with it not being diluted?

My son dry scoops.
I put mine in a small glass slightly larger than a shot glass, then drink it down with water. Refill the glass and drink down the gritty dregs that remain. It's not dissolved, but it doesn't really bother me. Any residual grit in my mouth is dispersed with a sip of hot coffee immediately after.

I’ve been putting it in my morning coffee. Dissolves easily and no taste.
