So hypothetical if the Dems can get both senate and house they can get rid of Trump

Basically no other way to do this for them. Trump should win at this point. Could they pick up enough seats to gain full control and then get rid of him then?

they would have to get to 66 seats in the Senate. that will never happen.

50+1 or 2/3?%
They can get 50%+1 if someone is willing to sacrifice their career to pull it off.
Would need a few House members to push a discharge petition and then have to get cloture in the Senate to pass the same bill.

Even if they could, this is such a serious thing that even the Democrats in congress would not go for it. If 20,000 people conducting a fiery but mostly peaceful protest without firing a single shot made these people cry, they will not do this.

The republic would die with cheers like in Star Wars.
Dems didn’t care that they lost the House in 2010 because they got what they wanted.
If they capture control of the election process to where they could guarantee they win due to cheating, it is over regardless of what the people say.

I'm still hoping a State leaves him off of the ballot - because Democratics only follow the law when it's convenient to them.
I've never gotten a chance to see a write-in win in my lifetime but I'm certain it would send a message to these fascist fools when Trump takes that State's primary.

You can count on every person in congress and the senate that is compromised is gonna get squeezed by the deep state to get in line on keeping Trump out.
1st pass didn't work because they expected the lawfare to work. Since it hasn't this next round could be very close. Hope it isn't but with 90% of the swamp being compromised look for some crazy revealings.

Hypothetically the house and Senate could vote for term limits.....but the same applies here.
They wont.
They wont.

Are there enough Rs in Congress that Trump has shite on?
That’s the part that is worrisome.

66 is the way I understand it. I may be wrong though.

Shouldn’t matter if their feelings are hurt, they work for the people.

They would do this in a heartbeat if they could.
They tried twice already.

Slim chances, but they got close in 2008. Of course, Congress will likely go the way of the president, so not a huge likelihood.

Todays decision makes that virtually impossible.

They only had 59 in after 08, and only got the 60th seat because of the special election in MA, if I recall correctly. Or maybe that was Specter switching parties—can’t remember exactly.
They mathematically cannot get to 66 in 2024 even if they won every seat up for election.

If there’s one thing members in Congress care about, its getting re-elected. So no, there won’t be enough R’s to go along with removing Trump

You're forgetting Murkowski and Collins

Specter switched because Toomey was going to whip his arse in the primary… then Brown replaced Teddy Kennedy and Specter got primaried by a Democrat (Stesak?) after an attempted bribe to keep the challenger out of the race was rejected.
Obama had also tried to replace Sen Judd Gregg with a Dem by offering him SecCommerce but then tried to snake the census out from under Commerce, causing Gregg to remain in the Senate and attempt to frick over Obama.
