Austin 'at the brink of disaster' as police shortages hit crisis level: 'God help us all'
Austin, Texas residents are expressing outrage over police staffing shortages and longer 911-call response times in the aftermath of the city council's vote to defund the department in 2020.
In February, a section of the city was notably left without a single police officer for a few hours on a Saturday due to the ongoing shortages.
Austin Police Association President Michael Bullock, who called attention to the vacancy on X, told Fox News Digital that a steady decline in public safety has put the city on the "brink of disaster."

Wait, let me get this straight. They’re getting exactly what they asked for, yet they’re worried and freaked out now?

Dallas is in a similar situation.
The top 75% make $73,700 per year
In the face of an enduring hiring crisis, the Dallas Police Department’s recruiting and retention goals in 2023 boil down to a simple message: 300 cops in, and far fewer out.
Their ambitions come as the department — with about 3,077 sworn officers — attempts to make up for recruiting and retention setbacks of the last year. DPD recruited 200 officers the last fiscal year, short of their goal of 250. They expected to lose 205 officers to attrition. Instead, about 236 left.

You can't always get what you want...but they did. The idea was better than the reality.

Everything the Left touches turns to complete shite. The only thing that surprises me is that more people haven’t figured it out by now.

I only go there to see the bat(shites) at the bridge. You plant okra, you get okra.

It’s comical that something like that sounded so amazing on paper and it was such a “proud” thing to get behind.
When the reality actually hits that criminals will take over without officers, it’s amazing how it suddenly becomes an emergency

Honest question - what outcomes were these people expecting?

The folks that voted to defund knew this would be the case, anyone that thinks differently needs to use their brains. Soros figured out long ago his money goes a lot further in local races, he gets candidates elected into city council and DA positions whose only goal is to destroy America from within. It's working.

And yet the SEC wants those fools!!!!

Well, well...if it isn't the consequences of my own actions?

And they're probably bewildered as to the origins.

It's always fun to watch filthy Progstains discover through pain and suffering, the abject failure of their pseudo-religious ideology.

Behind women's suffrage, BLM is probably the most ridiculous movement in the history of this country. Anyone who even somewhat kinda sympathized with the movement is beyond retarded. Like grab your bicycle helmet and crayons and go play in the corner retarded.
