All CNN has to do is report accurate, unbiased, and unembellished national and global news. There are loads of unreported news that isn't being reported because CNN is too focused on biased commentary .

If CNN returned to its philosophy of early days, I’d probably watch often.
Noone ever confused Ted Turner with being conservative but at least back in those days, it seemed CNN strived for balanced coverage, presenting both sides, and assuming the viewer was capable of drawing his/her own conclusions.
Even their old 10pm Sports show that competed against ESPN SportsCenter was well done.

The problem there is, I don't think there's any money to be made in that approach.
Maybe short-term, as we currently have a war in Europe and Israel is slapping Gaza around; but not long term.
The average American doesn't care much about international news, and there's not enough national news to fill a primetime hour, much less a 24 hr day. That's why it's all political opinions, and that isn't selling anymore either.
I'm frankly shocked they haven't been able to get someone imbedded in the Ukraine conflict, at least that would catch ratings awhile.

yep = this is not too big a requirement - practically anyone could do it.
The fact they go out of their way to hire expensive bullshitters to read DEM talking points is a great mystery to me.
