They’re supposedly considering a location in Lafayette on I-10. This would be the second location in Louisiana after the one that is planned for I-20 in Ruston. I think this would be a major win.

Side note: the article is written by someone who sounds like they know nothing about Louisiana. They say that they’re considering putting a location on I-10 either near Lafayette or Lafayette Parish. They probably don’t know that a parish is equivalent to a county, and that a city can lie inside of a parish.

Yeah, it’s been rumored for years, nothing has ever come of it. I’ll hold off the enthusiasm until they begin construction lol.

We will need a couple of generations worth of studies first.

Well, the intersection if I-10 and I-49 would be the obvious place for one of the large ones. If it is one of the small ones, any exit will do.

Probably going up right next to where Disney is building that water park.

It's good to have businesses opening, and it's better to have them than not have them, but a fresh take on the traditional truck stop gas station should realistically never be described as a "major" win.

Bucee’s is following the (Pilot/Flying J I think) plan of putting stores 100 miles apart from each other. The one they’re building between Slidell and Gulfport/biloxi is almost exactly 100 miles west of the one in Alabama. 100 miles west of that puts it right at I-10 and O’Neal/Millerville, which was a thing years ago before the flood/normal Louisiana politics.

Logically it would be the place to put it. On I-10 in the Southern middle part of the State. Ruston on I-20 is in the Northern middle part of the State. There is none in Mississippi and it would be in-between Mobile and Houston on the south end. Will it happen? I wouldn't hold my breath.

Why do you think that? None of the ones in Texas create a traffic nightmare for people driving the interstate.
