Online leftists are taking issue with the use of the phrase “rest in power” to commemorate the death of the self-immolating airman because, apparently, that phrase is exclusively to be used for black people.

25-year-old Air Force Airman Aaron Bushnell lit himself on fire in front of Israel’s U.S. embassy Sunday afternoon in protest of U.S. support for Israel’s military campaign in Gaza, according to officials. Many took to Twitter to praise what they saw as a sacrifice.

But apparently even self-immolation is not enough of a sacrifice for leftist causes if you’re white. A number of online leftists bashed the use of the phrase “rest in power” as it is, according to these absolutely insane people, reserved exclusively for black people….

The difference is those monks did it out of deep religious belief and the persecution of them by the corrupt government in Saigon. The airman was just a head case that wanted attention for himself, no matter what he was jabbering about.

That confused, ill, misguided airman was someone’s son and that is sad.

My son was in the Air Force until age 23, leaving after a 4 year contract. His experience was overall a positive one, largely serving overseas and the bonds among the airmen were very good and most of the guys viewed their roles and why they were there in a similar light.

That said, he did encounter his share of leftists, LBGTQ, and otherwise mentally ill individuals.

There are different levels of clearance and at 25 and ISR, doubt that he got above Top Secret.Clearance.Now if he was TS/SCI with a polygraph that's a problem. C5ISRs usually have 20 + years under their belt and are either high end NCOs at a minimum or officer corps.....O4 and above

I object. Would this idiot even know where anyone was deployed? He didn't know squat. A TS/SCI with poly doesn't mean you have access to any information at all, if compartmentalization is still a thing.

Also, the IDF doesn't need our CCTs, PJs, etc. I think they have it down in operations.

We've graduated people from the Academy that have professed, publicly, communist beliefs. You know how you identify a conservative on LinkedIn? They have almost no posts. You'll get railed with the wrong beliefs, and you will get ignored if you're on the left, no matter what you say.
