Just watched The Dark Knight Rises

I don’t understand why it gets such a bad rap on here? I’ve always thought it was very solid. The scene where Alfred sees Bruce at the cafe puts a lump in my throat. Can y’all clue me in?

Most of the plot is non sense

Didn't they rip most of the elements of the film straight from a number of Batman graphic novels and A Tale of Two Cities?

It’s just not as good as the first two. The peak is Dark Knight.
Also this universe is basically exactly how I imagined Gotham and Batman growing up. Picture perfect example of bringing source material to life rather than reinventing it or trying to use it as a vessel for your own take.

So like every other comic book film?

A lot of good things - opening scene, first Bane fight, but Bane’s death was weak.

It’s absolutely well done, the music, the acting etc.
But once you’ve seen it several times and reflect on some of the plot points, my god the logic is horrendous
Let’s send our entire, ENTIRE, police force down into the sewers.

The Talia death scene was hilarious

Rises has a more cohesive plot and story that sticks to the comic. 2nd best in the franchise next to begins
This is how TDK should be described. It was a terrible take on gotham city. Was esentially 2 terrorists running around NYC in costumes

really seals in the flavor

I watched it again a while back and liked it. There are some massive brutal fight scenes. And Anne Hathaway is hot as hell at Catwoman.
I think the biggest problem is that it was supposed to feature Heath Ledger and his death kinda fricked things up. And by the time it came out, Christopher Nolan was over the superhero thing.

The “main villain” Bane gets taken out unceremoniously and turns out he’s not even the main villain.

It’s been so long since I’ve seen it. But the opening scene is incredibly done
Hines Ward returning the kickoff and the closing scene in the restaurant in Italy stick out to me
Bane is very quotable though:

I thought Hardy was awesome as Bane. We now know Nolan is obsessed with screwing with the audio, so that hurt him a bit. But I agree, that he's very quotable.

Christopher Nolan has absolutely terrible taste in women. His female leads in both Dark Knight movies are downright homely. A billionaire with his pick of women aren't falling for either one of those.

Because the plot was written by a third grader and people thought it was Oscar worthy
TDKR fan boys = proof of idiocracy
