I’m going to fry some shrimp and catfish and would like to get an outdoor burner. What can/should I get and where in Baton Rouge is the go to?

Update: Catfish, shrimp, hush puppies, fries all came out great! Temp is a bit of a challenge but I got a rhythm going.
For your troubles:

Absolutely beautiful... I'm dreaming about the fish tacos I could make with that.

Nice! the fish too.

Check out the Loco two burner rig. Great for all outdoor cooking.

If you are wanting to spend money go to Goodwood hardware or Shenandoah hardware - basic set ups go to academy

If you’re frying fish, just remember that you don’t need 1 pound of fish per person.

If you just getting into cooking get a 5 gallon jamabaya rig. You could fry fish in it, cook a stew, gumbo, spaghetti, jambalaya, pastalaya, fry whole chickens. You will have to watch your temperature a little closer but you will get more use out of it than a stand alone fryer.

LINK

Camp chef two burner stove. One side do seafood, other side do fries and hush puppies. Been using mine for years and never had a problem with it. Brakes down easy for travel and comes with a carrying case also.

If you are just frying for a small family, you might consider a small electric fryer like the Presto 5qt dual basket fryer. It can turn out a decent amount of food. I keep mine outside and use it often.

For larger groups, consider a Cajun Fryer by R&V Works. They are built like tanks.

Get a banjo burner instead of a crawfish burner.
