Not to worry Lima. TSMC wont be oursourcing soon, the chips act gave them such a sweetheart deal they will be manufacturing in the US. So they get the manufacturing and our tax dollars.

When the frickin bill was to bring the industry back to the US NOT to bring the competitors to us and give them our tax dollars. But ole Pelosi has to ensure she leaves a billion dollar legacy to her kids same as Feinstein.

China or Taiwan?

TSMC does not make GPUs. they provide the 3nanometer chips specifically custom designed by Nvidia or AMD.

Nvidia used to rely on Samsung for its chipsets, but switched over to TSMC for 4nanometer and 3nanometer chipsets. now Samsung has developed 2nm AI chips and there is rumor that Nvidia is going to move back to partnering with Samsung for their RTX 50 series cards coming in 2025.

feel like an old fricker because I remember when NVidia was mainly a 3D graphics card manufacturer.

Had their gfx card in my first PC build maybe 20 years ago?

Nvidia does the design, but their manufacturing is farmed out to TSMC in Taiwan.

And judging by Nvidia's margins TSMC should be raising their prices.

That's what I thought Nvidia still was and kept wondering why their stock price shot up so much so fast.

Nvidia has been a good stock for a while now, but only a couple momths ago, their price was like $300-something a share. Now it's in the mid 700s. It's all CNBC talks about every day.

I thought their stock going up was from all the bitcoin mining using their graphics cards.

Didn't know they were seemingly leading in AI.

They are. They're fortunate to ride a bubble into the primary area of tech focus (and about the only thing getting VC money in SV these days).

Their GPUs are so far ahead of anything else with respect to AI they're going to lap the competition until AI becomes a bubble and bursts.

Nvidia’s numbers are legit. They keep beating the street estimates. It’s almost unprecedented. It’s as if Nvidia doesn’t even know how much demand there is for their product.

That said, the market is over reacting and putting an unrealistic price tag on them But that’s what the market does. It’s my job to make money off of the market’s herd mentality.
