LSU women’s basketball coach Kim Mulkey has already won a national championship in her home state, but before coming to Baton Rouge, she was a three-time national champion at Baylor.
One of the biggest stars she coached there during her tenure was Brittney Griner, who has become one of the greatest WNBA players ever. Griner was a two-time First Team All-American and the national player of the year with the Bears, leading to a first overall selection in the WNBA draft.
Griner has since won a championship and has been named an All-Star nine times.
Her jersey is set to be retired at Baylor on Sunday, and Mulkey offered words of support to her former player.
"I think it's awsome. It's awesome, and I'm sure it'll be a great environment," Mulkey said.

Baylor likes to tout themselves as strong Baptist’s but has had scandals as bad as anyone over the past 20 years.

Have an in-law who worked at Baylor for a long time. She actually left her position because of DEI run amok. At Baylor. And she is a Progressive.
Let that sink in.

Media also reporting that Baylor is retiring Griner's jersey "against the wishes of Mulkey." THAT IS FALSE REPORTING. Baylor had a policy in place, and Mulkey followed it, not to retire jerseys of BB players who do not graduate with a degree. Mulkey had 100% graduation rate at Baylor and LA Tech. Notice that Baylor is just now retiring her jersey? It's because Griner just received her degree from Baylor a couple years ago. No one is reporting that. That policy is still in place at Baylor. The media is getting out of hand, reporting whatever they want, and not the facts.

Lol at the PedoChurch accusing Baptists of scandals. The Priesthood is so bad at molesting altar boys that it's become a pedo legend in itself.
And for the record, you are talking Baptist UNIVERSITIES... There's no University playing collegiate sports that is a Temple of Holiness.

Oh…. I forgot this person existed

We have a family member (in-law) who works at Baylor. She told us that Baylor has gone all "woke" and extreme social justice policies. Baylor Admin (including their Prez) was trying to force her to sign papers in support of their new policies that were against her religious beliefs. She refused to sign them, she was afraid she would be fired for not agreeing. Between their Admin and the students, she has been under constant attack for her beliefs. Baylor is not the same Baptist school from 20 years ago. The woke people on this board will probably give down vote. But what is happening to our in-law at Baylor is fact, not an opinion. She has worked there over 25 years.

Schools like Baylor are hardly "Baptist" anymore. They have chosen to separate themselves from the Baptist convention in Texas so they can be more liberalized. In twenty years, they will be no different from schools that were once religious and are now beyond secular, such as Harvard.

You can look straight to the top at President 'Liberal' Linda Livingstone to understand what happened there... She spent 12 years in California and 3 years in Washington DC prior to taking the helm at Baylor. There is no mystery here.

What have they done that irritates you/
Many universities in this country were started as Christian schools.
They have all had bad actors.
Harvard, just fired their President for embarrassing them.
