Yesterday I would have really honed in on Willis saying she kept campaign cash at home. Would have asked several relevant questions and pinned her down on a very specific answer. Merchant let it go.

So this is a motions hearing with the judge taking the testimony and then making a ruling (nothing related to a jury)
In my uneducated opinion... I think it's actually better that the dad's testimony wasn't struck b/c now it stays in the court transcript where he admits she was there during his prep

Why is everyone on this board so against having cash on hand?

More than likely Fani coordinated for him to come in last minute. The plan by the prosecutors up to that point was to squash her appearance altogether. Her talking opened the door for Dad.
Wasn’t he witness prepped before today? As in “at some point before she testified yesterday”?
Not expecting to be called =\= won’t be called.

And on top of that, if one were paying back a debt, especially one that large, wouldn’t one normally either pay by something like a check that leaves a record or get a receipt?

And I think cash back at Publix is limited to a $50 max. That's a shite ton of grocery store trips to build up her cash nest egg
That was such a dumb lie by Willis. She also should have been asked if some of her cash was for political favors or bribes and if she had ever taken such?

My point still stands… if he was prepped two days ago, he was under rule not to watch the proceedings.
He violated that.
Can’t hide behind “I was never going to testify before she did” if you were prepped before she set foot in the courtroom.

No way any of them skate after this shite show. At this point it’s impossible to separate out true motives for going after Trump and others and an opportunity for financial gain. It certainly doesn’t help that they started taking quite a few vacations AFTER she appointed him. Neither one has shown that trips to Belize and the Bahamas and Costa Rica and Napa Valley were a normal part of their lifestyles pre special prosecutor appointment.

And most places offering this have a minimum purchase amount lest you pay a fee.
Was she buying a grape soda for $2, paying another $2 fee, and getting $50 back several hundred times a day?

The judge said he's leaving it in and how it relates to the witness credibility.
We'll see how he rules.

But you don’t get a written receipt from someone if you are paying them back a large debt?
Or get a receipt if you are prepaying for legal services as a retainer?

I’m watching Joe too. I enjoy his commentary. Also like Curt with Uncivil law and his sometimes contrarian takes.
