if parents are making a "recreational" choice to get an extra year of school they should be on the hook for said cost.

Are these parents not paying their local property and sales taxes?

Y’all keep saying this, acting like they don’t have any talent but this team is flat out loaded with college commits. Crazy how y’all are reaching so hard to prop him up. Is he a good coach? Absolutely, one of the best, but please stop acting like he’s showing up to the state tournament with a couple of middle schoolers and a wheelchair kid

If the foot never contacted the ground outside the box and not IN strike zone it’s a HBP.

terrible argument.

If 10% of a school is held back but 80% of boys in athletics are, you got a problem and asking the taxpayer to pay an addtl 10-15k times how many ever boys is just stupid.

Grew up in LC and played for South Lake Charles LL in the 90s and every stud that went on to Barbe and then college or the draft were guys i played with when we were at Prien Lake and Nelson Elementary.

People don’t realize how well South Lake Charles little league was run.

It was grass roots and ran like a professional business. God bless those volunteers growing up. They had actual coaches that weren’t parents and dedicated a lot of time and money into that league.

I hate to interrupt, but could anyone recommend a good restaurant/sports bar to watch LSU baseball tonight and Paul
Skenes pitch tomorrow in Lake Charles/Sulphur area?

Just for the assortment of games on I'd either go to one of the sports betting bars at one of the casinos or BWW or Fat Pat's or Walk Ons

this team doesnt have the top talent that are seniors like years past and the arms talent is not even remotely close to years past.

this is the least talented barbe team to make the ship in a long time.

think about it....the #1 pitcher was expelled. #2 is hurt and will not pitch at all. the other kid that has ride to ull as pitcher has broken hand

bellard, kid with broken hand, was also one your best Inf
alexander can only dh
courville was out a ton this year with injury

could go on and on.

Barbe is 100% the underdog and it will take monumental effort for them to beat WM.

please explain. imo you are full of shite but im listening

so are all the schools in swla cheating their asses off? you realize we only have 250k in the metro area and only 200k in the parish right?

so is Barbe, Sam Houston, St Louis, Sulphur, South Beau all going and grabbing kids from out of town and out of state? if so please name them.

please show me how the top teams are not playing within the rules and how it isnt a level playing field.

You keep touting your low population this thread but somehow magically believe that somehow y’all have the absolute top crop of talent almost year in and year out? For whatever reason your area just sprouts D1 prospects at a much higher clip than anyone else in the state? I have no clue why you insist on keeping your head so far in the sand when it comes to this. Is barbe flat out cheating? I’m not sure and I’m not privy to such information, but when this school with such a small population to pull from (your words, not mine) has had this level of success for such a consistent period of time, they’re CLEARLY doing something different than everyone else. Same with Curtis, Evangel, WM, etc in football back in the day.. this type of shite doesn’t just organically happen, they’re more than likely bending the rules somewhere and have a great program in place to do so

They might though

When you have a smaller metro you have less schools to share the available talent with

This should be interesting if he responds hahaha, I'm pretty familiar with all the programs and while there are some local kids that bounce around for more playing time or other various reasons there is no great influx of kids from outside SW La.

Can't wait to get your take on the media outrage from the umpire banning them from the field.
