I haven’t been but La Hacienda took over the old Cypress restaurant on transcontinental which was a pretty nice spot. I don’t know of any other places that are nicer than casual.

La Macarena near St. Charles and Carrolton
Mawi at Esplanade and Transcontinental in Metairie
Neither is really upscale but Mawi is really good. I'm not sure if you would call either Honduran or more Central American.

I'll show that to her as well. She wants me to try Honduran though

They're nowhere near upscale, but there are at least two Honduran places at the corner of Stumpf Blvd and Wright Ave in Terrytown on the Westbank. They're right near the shopping center where China Blossom and Cafe DiBlasi used to be (RIP to those two hidden gems).

Alma is upscale adjacent. Its casual but the food is very elevated

If not now there will be one soon, considering the number of Hondurans crossing the border

The New Orleans area has the third largest concentrationn of Hondurans on the planet. This was way before the current border problems.

if New Orleans were 60% Hispanic instead of what we have now, it would be a much better place to be

I was just trying to find something better than what we usually see
