Handle some and see what feels right to you.
What rifle do you have now?

I’ve hunted the West a bit, and weight should be a consideration. It’s no fun lugging around a heavy rifle.

Do you reload and have access to making your own ammo ? The 7PRC is today's long-range flavor of the month rifle cartridge. Possibly in 3-5+ years from now ammo could be very hard to find like the WSM and WSSM stuff. According to Hornady's website, they only offer 3 loads:
- 7mm PRC 160 gr CX Outfitter
- 7mm PRC 180 gr ELD Match
- 7mm PRC 175 gr ELD-X Precision Hunter
The 7Mag has been around for 60 years and you can find affordably priced ammo at every hunting & sporting goods store in America. Comparing apples to apples, both cartridges are very similar as it comes down to what you want.

Hunted out west a bunch with a tikka 7mag. Shoot nosler 160gr Accubonds. Only deer that didn’t drop was my fault. Agree with previous post that says weight is def a consideration.

Christensen Arms has a sub $1000 line of lightweight, carbon fiber, guaranteed sub MOA masterpieces with great triggers and fantastic balance and feel .... find a dealer and hold one, you'll be sold. That leaves you a grand for the glass. Check out Arken Optics, you will not be disappointed. Great guys to work with.

It's always fun making the plans to buy a new gun. Since you already have a fine rifle in 270 Win, what are you planning to hunt that the 270 (w/ an appropriate bullet) won't put down?

Not to derail your gun, but I would look at 6.8 western if you want heavy for caliber and a good gun selection.
Browning has plenty of options at your price point. I"d go Pro hunter LR for 1100 and put a Leupold on top in your budget.

Friend had one built at Barbour Creek in Alabama. 1100 yard gun I think. Very pretty. Don’t know the weight though.

Bergara B14 crest ..carbon fiber stock and fluted barrel to save weight. It’s a beautiful tack driver
