2) Warren Morris walkoff

Making JJ Redick cry.

2003, 2007 & 2019 Football teams making me cry.

Beating FU 28-21.

Seeing Tubby's team get 15 yards for stomping on the Eye and the onside kick.

The Florida shoe throwing incident.

32-31 right in front of me in 2022.

Too many to pick just one.

Best moment in LSU sports history? by BThibodeaux
An underrated moment is the Marcus Spears pick six in the 2003 national championship. It was the most important play in the most important game in more than 40 years. Certainly not as dramatic as the Morris walk off but a tremendous moment for those of us that believed we would never see another football natty.

Upvote. That game elevated LSU football from a really good program that had up and down periods into the sphere of elite programs that are in the national championship conversation. And I was going to post the Spears interception as the biggest play if you didn't already do it.

Justin Vincent's big run to open the game was the appetizer, Spears' pick 6 the main course that put the game out of reach for OU, and Lionel Turner's sack at the end was the dessert/icing on the cake.

Underrated

Your list was good

For me it was the NC game in January of 2020.

Morris’ HR was close.

Consider Moo State or Ole Miss in the context of this question: they’d both have to say their single CWS-winning game.

And that’s the product of a metric shite ton of mediocrity in football, especially for State.

Their 6-3 1980 victory over Bama would probably be their runner-up.

Cedric Donaldson’s pick 6 vs #1 Florida in 97 was just as big as cannons punt return

Warren Morris. Nothing beats a walk off home run.

Well, yeah, that was clear. But he lost control of the narrative.

Not my #1 ( Morris is) but..
Ricky Blanton layup to beat Kentucky, after 3 previous losses that year, making the final 4.

Definitely a moment to remember!!

I loved that moment and it was one of the most exciting moments in LSU football that I can ever remember.

Cannon's TD was the only TD of the game and he did so in dramatic fashion, so I could see how anyone who experienced it thought it was the best moment when it happened (and even years later).
