classmate of mine. been at DHS for 12 years i think. i hope he does well. HHS should not be as bad as they have been in football lately. thats the only thoughts i have.

He's been at Destrehan for more than 20 years as a coach. He was there when I started at DHS in 2001.

Yes in fact he has just become the 4th coach who was charged in their HUDL incident to go on to become a head coach:
Ryan Fournier- HLB
Lance Ledet- Vanderbilt
Daniel Luquet- Hahnville
Greg Boyne- Hahnville

You are referencing a Hudl Scandal that was overblown to say the least...don't slander those guys by throwing it out there like they are criminals/bad people use the proper context.

are you saying Destrehan wouldn’t have beat them by 40 whether they did or not?

Are you saying it’s okay to cheat, then lie about it to the Lhsaa investigator, just because you’re clearly the better team?

WDSU Fifth Destrehan High School Coach Charged In Spying Scandal

I mean I don't really think it's slander. Here's the context. Please tell me what I said in my post that was wrong. The guy can be a great guy and still have had a frick up over a decade ago. 2 things can be true.

I just think you should have put the context - give the world today and what teachers get in trouble saying criminal charges without context is a bit harsh.

Is it against the rules to watch Hudl? If so, why? Maybe teams shouldn't post practice videos on there if they don't want rivals to watch them. They used to call it gamesmanship.

A Destrehan coach had a relative who quit the South Lafourche football team earlier in the season. The kid was convinced to let him use his login and password to access the hudl film. Obviously, Coach Skains and lots of other coaches learned the hard way that when a kid leaves the team to delete their login ability. Destrehan coaches, for a few weeks, were able to watch every practice leading up to their game. SL was a huge underdog and had been working on some offensive formations that were only going to be used in the Destrehan game and not even shown in other games to maybe allow them to have a chance by controlling the ball with a power running game. Destrehan was obviously ready for these formations. During the ensuing “investigation “ by the Lhsaa “investigator”, Skains was told that Coach Robichaux was willing to “swear on a stack of bibles” they didn’t see the film and the investigation was over. Only because the school contacted the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office and got them involved were they able to confirm with hudl the ip addresses of computers at coaches residences and the school, and contacted the media, did Destrehan decide to come clean that they did it. The Lhsaa investigator was mad at Coach Skains for basically forcing him to do his job.
Also, til the end, the HC Robichaux denied any knowledge of what his assistants did. He never wondered once why in the hell was the scout team lining up in offensive formations that had not been seen even once in any prior game they had film on.
