Howdy - need to house 2 adults and 6 kids - ages 12 - 17. I was looking on Hotels for suites on the strip. Bellagio and the like have some decent ones, but that seems to entail getting 2 rooms.

I happened to see Elara actually has a "4 Bedroom 4 Kings Premier Suite" at a pretty reasonable price ($2kish per night). Before I pulled the trigger on that, I was wondering if anyone had any special knowledge of similar large suites like this or a way to find them in a one-stop-shopping kind of place. It seems like not many on Hotels.

Any/all recommendations appreciated. Not renting a car, so strongly prefer to be on the Strip (or just barely off, like Elara).

TIA

I am staying at the Venetian. All of the rooms are big suites, but I don’t know about six kids.

Well if you want to be near the strip this won’t help, but you could look at Air BnBs out in Summerlin. Upscale, nicer part of Vegas. Probably 20 minutes to the strip.

Not fancy but it's close to the strip and the stadium. We stayed at the Marriott Grand Chateau which is a timeshare property. May be all booked up for the game/holiday weekend but they have options for multi=bedroom condos with kitchens, dining rooms, etc.

Vdara, MGM Grand or Mandalay.

Also look for an Air BNB.

The 6 kids should stay home.

In all seriousness, youre way better off with an AirBNB in Summerlin and a car. Youll be able to easily go to Red Rock Canyon, Mt Charleston, etc, things a family can do and love and then head to the strip on gameday.

Dont force the kids to deal with the strip.

I stayed in a really nice hotel room the first time I visited Vegas and it was the last time I will ever make that mistake

Inside of a hotel room is the last place you’re going to want to be while in an incredible city like Vegas that has so much going on

We were so fricking exhausted from walking around, gambling, eating, seeing shows, etc. that I just wanted a bed with a roof over my head to sleep by the time we got back to the hotel

But if you want something flashy because you can afford it (or so you can post photographs on social media and get a bunch of likes) then go for it!

My 2 cents

100%. Or more like don't force yourselves to keep up with 6 kids on the Strip. It will be super crowded that weekend. The only things they can do are shop, eat, and ride the few rides that are at different resorts. The food will be pricier, shopping is pretty much the same as all other malls not located in Vegas. Go to some of the places mentioned (Red Rock Canyon, Valley of Fire, Mt. Charleston, Black Canyon Rafting, etc.) or find something like Top Golf, Vegas Super Karts, Vegas dune buggy rentals, etc. You can find Groupons or Living Social coupons for a lot of those things. They would be more fun for that age kid than just shopping and seeing all the things they can't do.

We're likely going to see whatever show is at the Sphere, Love, ride several roller coasters and our current suite is walking distance to Top Golf.

I understand the potential appeal of going out to the burbs and doing more nature stuff, but that isn't this trip. Most of the kids are 15 or older - I'm sure they will love the strip.

I mean, I don't really care how "nice" it is - it's more about having the room all together.

Seems snarky, but thanks!

Is that why you stayed in a really nice hotel room your first time in Vegas?

Don’t belong on the strip.

That’s the reason why you have trouble finding accommodations for them.

The hotels don’t cater to them or want them.

You shouldn’t want to expose kids of that age to some of the stuff that they might see and experience there.

Get an Airbnb like many have recommended.

Contract with a ride service there if you don’t want to drive yourself.

This isn't Times Square i 1975. It's Times Square in 2005.

I did list the rides, Top Golf, Super Karts, and dune buggies. I think Sphere will be cool. I forget about that because I haven't seen it yet. I'm sure they will love that.

I just think walking around the Strip with that many people is a pain in the arse. It's not so much that they wouldn't like it. But as crowded as it's going to be, I think keeping 6-10 people sort of together isn't going to be very easy and to me, not that fun.

I LOVE Vegas and have been a lot. I usually do one non Vegas thing when I go, because there is usually something new to see. I just don't think the kids I see on the Strip look like they really are having a good time. Mostly because there is just not anything for them to do. They look bored. I was thrilled that the first time my kids experienced Vegas was when we took them for their 21st and they were old enough to enjoy it all. Sounds like cost isn't a big deal and that's good because everything costs more on the Strip.

Just get 2 connecting rooms at Venetian or Palazzo. Kids room has 2 queens and sleeper sofa.

Palazzo is better. You will save a bunch of money
