We're speaking now, probably better than ever, but she doesn't know if she wants to continue the marriage. I'm at a loss and hoping we can resolve it but it doesn't look good.
She's assessing her odds of landing a better deal. If she thinks she can, then the marriage is over. If she thinks staying with you provides a better outcome, she'll "continue the marriage." Don't think for a second love/commitment has anything to do with it.

I am literally living this exact scenario right now. Been separated for 10 days. I'm sleeping in my office. We're speaking now, probably better than ever, but she doesn't know if she wants to continue the marriage. I'm at a loss and hoping we can resolve it but it doesn't look good.
How humiliating

So I'm curious. Were there gradual signs that led to this culmination of "just not happy?"
In hindsight, there were, I just missed them. Like many women, my ex ran mostly on emotions and expected me to understand without her ever really talking to me about it. Fair or not, that’s how it is. I know it’s cliche, but we slowly grew apart. When you’re in a relationship for that long, you tend to take things for granted, and very subtle changes can go unnoticed. We’re probably equally at fault. She just saw it coming much more clearly than I did.

Modern day American women are not worth marrying.

Together for 7 years, married for 4. She started fricking black guys behind my back. She's married to one now.
