What is your opinion of Zion’s future as a player in the league:

Upvote : consistent all star selection and all NBA atleast once

Downvote: occasional All Star (say 2-3 more times max) but no All NBA

I don't see how anyone can believe he'll be more than he is now. He plays 50% of games or less, his personal life is a mess, he's out of shape all the time. He isn't dedicated to basketball and doesn't care about his team or himself.

If he can't develop a jump shot he will always be at the mercy of foul no-calls

He's averaging near 22/6/5 this year, which is fine...

But we need him to be able to turn up into the 27/7/4 version of him when it matters.

That being said he's gonna be an occasional pick, there's better forwards in the west who put up better numbers.

This question depends on one factor.

Are we trading BI and making Zion “The Leader”?

If the answer is yes then upvote, if its no then downvote. We will never see Peak Zion again, like in December last year, unless BI gets traded or goes out with another long term injury and this coaching staff and FO is forced into letting Zion take over the team.

Zion still is figuring out his game i think. He has always just muscles to the rim but sometimes that isn’t open. If he could any kind of a midrange game he would really be unstoppable. He’s a fantastic passer too. Not sure why he waited this long to show us he could pass like that. Just a 12-15 foot shot would open his game up and make the way teams defend him change tactics. This is a shooting offense but it has to originate from pressure on the block that Zion gives and opens up shooters when help defense arrives.

So to this point , about 80% believe he will be just a good to really good player moving forward best case scenario.

So my question is , why does there seem to be such a big aversion to trading him on this board? Is it just a vocal minority situation?

Not sure why anyone thinks the word “Zion” and “develop” go together. He’s physically regressed since he’s been in the NBA and hasn’t developed a single basketball skill.

with his basketball IQ and lack of effort, this is almost certainly never going to happen
