It's pretty good. He seems like a good dude. However, he talks about duck hunting and he went to a large state school with a large following of baseball. Which LSU pitcher is this?

Mize only faced Votto once. He says he faced him twice got a strikeout and a groundball.

Mine hasn’t been around long enough. One of the answers mentioned never having gone through free agency because he signed extensions with the team that drafted him and was traded once.

Based on about 15 minutes of research after reading through the Reddit thread, I think it’s Kyle Wright.

In one of the responses, he mentioned going to a highly ranked public school. Wright played at Vandy.
I'm not sure who this is.

He said he went early in the draft and also that he did a rehab assignment last year, so that should help narrow it down.
Also said he has never been a free agent. He has resigned multiple times and been traded once I think.

Very interesting AMA, thanks for posting. Would be very interested to hear who it is. Has to be a pitcher who plays for a team in the NL East (he’s faced Juan Soto more than anyone else). Mentions the Braves big 3 (smoltz, glavine, and maddux) + chipper as part of a group of his favorite players, as well as Atlanta being one of his top places to play (and Philly being a least) and being drafted by his favorite and playing for his favorite team growing up — from all of that I’d say he was a SP from Atlanta for a number of years before being traded (signed multiple extensions with said team and never hit FA) - anyone fit that bill?

Most likely Kyle Wright. All the stats he mentions line up. Couple of personal details don't tho. Like he's known and dated his wife since high school. He's also not a free agent for a couple of more years.

I think it is Kyle Wright. He has 1 career double like the player said in the AMA. Also says he hunts in Tennessee and Alabama. Would make sense.

Wright went to Vandy, he posted that he

Also mentioned his college was near an airport, when addressing a question about dealing with noise.

Also said he watched votto play in single a (Dayton, Ohio).
Idk, strider was born in Columbus & played at Clemson
But doesn’t fit some of the other clues

Think he was talking about his high school when he said that.

Great question. It's different for everyone and in part it's kind of a conditioning thing.
I grew up playing at a pretty big HS (ballpark was also next to an airport), a well known college with high attendance, and in a lot of big games so I was accustomed to there being a large audience, sounds, distractions, etc.
So I'm used to it and it doesn't (usually) phase me. For me, I deaden my focus on specific objects that are in my target area. Could he the catchers' glove, the umps scratch on his mask, the dirt on the plate, the batters armband, etc. And I fixate on those things instead of everything else becsuse that's all that matters.
Some guys do some pretty crazy training, like having a coach jump and scream or throw stuff to condition but that's a little cheesy to me haha
Wright went to high school in a small town in northeast Alabama.

With Huntsville Executive a m8le away. It's him. He's only had 1 hit in the majors, the 'two-bagger'. Great AMA.

Wright makes sense, because he said he was from the south and he also alluded to that he won something big (a world series)

Are we settling on Kyle Wright?
He did another ama which I haven’t read yet, maybe he provides more clues

Fwiw, I think it’s Wright. He said he was a big country music fan and has been to the CMA’s the last few years and I went to his insta and he was at the last CMA’s with his wife
