Pels ARE SOFT, TIMID, PASSIVE, TOO NICE. Not AGGRESSIVE.

Nance plays timidly. Ingram timid, CJ timid, Zion following the rest timid. Too nice. No Draymond green types. Play scary. Larry plays so scary. scared to shoot, Naji thinks he's MJ. Willie keeps his arms folded.

I noticed that when they were bullied by the Lakers In Season Tournament game. As roster depleted as Lakers are it's the physicality that pushes them over teams like the Pels.

The word on the street is that if you punch the Pelicans hard enough early, they fold like a picnic table.

It seems like you could remedy that. I mean nut up and match the intensity.

Oh, a PhD in psychology…

Timidity is not the problem. Willie unfolding his arms won’t motivate the team more than it currently is.
We lost to a very good team at their house where they are 21-5.

Nance plays timidly. Ingram

This is one knock you can have against the pels. Seems like cj always hints at this

We need a guy like Pat Beverly or a gritty worker. We used to have that in Nance but injuries caught up with him.

Willie, with his arms folded, is reminding me of Byron “statue” Scott lately.

I think this is a real problem, and I have to say one I didn’t see coming after the suns series. That series we were the last talented team, but I think more physical and intense team.

And now we look like a team that can easily be bullied. If we go down big early, we pretty much fold. If we go up big early, we often are holding on against a run.

There are times I think Paul George getting covid really set us back. If the clippers beat us and the suns series never happens, I think we’d be a lot more honest with our roster evaluation.

Nah, because even if we lose the play-in, Griff is still touting how we had one of the best records in the NBA post-CJ trade and did it with a first-year head coach and without Zion.

Like I said in the other thread, Zion's lack of availability has held the organization hostage from day one because, no matter how bad or how good we played the last five years, the caveat has always been that we don't know what this team truly is because it was missing the dude that the roster was, theoretically, built around.

This!!! Ever since we became or tried to become a jump shooting team we've become scared of contact. Even Zion has become that. Instead of bully ball he tries to out finess people. JV let a 7'2 100lb man (soaking wet) dominate him. We are not built to play Borrego's way.

Jose is the smallest on the team and has that dawg in him but we need all of the team to be that way. Naji is that way but he thinks he's MJ (lol) and screws up. And coaching , Willie doesn't understand rotations. We need to trade BI, Trey, Dyson and JV and get something in return. Sometimes addition by subtraction is best.

When you build your roster around a mentally-weak man-child, this is the result.

The good thing about this year is it's becoming obvious that Zion is never going to be a real #1 on a true contender. shite, he makes Anthony Davis look like Kevin Garnett.

BayooBandit, you beat me to it, that's exactly what I was getting ready to post.
I am tired of Willie and his rah, rah bullshite, its time to realize he is coaching grown arse men, and this is professional basketball not the rec league.
