The Transfer Rule was on the agenda. It would allow any high school athlete a ONE TIME transfer to the school of their choice without penalty.

Yeah don’t think LHSAA principals are ready yet for that environment

Did they change being held back rule back to 5th grade?

Needed. I know the split is ridiculous on all levels, but it’s especially ridiculous here. When you have to win 1 game to make it to the state championship…It’s too watered down.

In some divisions the 1 seed was going straight to the semifinals

I know that is what I’m saying. I had a friend whose daughter won a title. I called them to congratulate them. That’s a big deal to win it all. They told me they had seen rec teams better and they felt dirty for their “state championship”.

For which sports?
Posted on 1/25/24 at 1:36 pm to Kingpenm3
All of them, apparently.
No football for either class, so the single biggest sport impacted would be basketball.

I was in Sulphur a couple years ago, I walked over to check out a Div V Select Semifinal softball game. I don’t even remember which school , but half their players looked like they were forced to be on the team just so they could field a team, like they never played before. This was a Semifinal Game! It was a mockery

Girls wrestling has been approved as a sport for next year almost unanimously… the Owls will be one of the contenders for a chip IMO
