Op is a troll and a very low level worker at a plant. This was out years ago.

It's a different world nowadays. If you have the ability to work from home, and there's either an ice storm or a torrential downpour, until your employees actually are caught abusing their privileges, why being a hard arse about it.
I guarantee you, when your best employees are thinking about whether or not to stay with the company, moments like this, where you have the ability to be flexible or not, come to mind.

Just because you force them to sit in an office for 8 hours a day doesn't make them productive. Lead better.

I do virtually the same amount of work in the office as at home. But, at home, during my down time, I can go grocery shopping, do the laundry, clean my place, etc.. At the office, I'm just surfing the web, staring at the wall miserable, or making dry small talk with colleagues when I have down time.

If I weren't so lazy I'd like to go through all the WFHs in this thread post history to see how many posts were made during working hours. My suspicion is that most of you are lazy fricks perusing TD instead doing your jobs a lot of the time.

I purposely don’t respond until the morning of as I consider these request asinine. Since I get to work at 6:00am, I’m getting ready for my usual email response of, “Just got to the office. It didn’t seem like there were any issues on the road so you should be good. See ya soon!”
Nightmare boss.

There is no doubt some people suck as workers in any setting.
Nobody prides themselves on being great at their job anymore, and it shows. Bragging about doing as little as possible is somehow a flex now.

Almost as if corporate America has stopped rewarding doing your very best. Why would anyone do more than required? They paying you more for that?

You're so awesome for being bare minimum bro. Good luck with that.

I have a great career and I have a shite load of time to focus on family, hobbies, etc and never stress about work. You have fun busting your arse and getting nothing that the "slackers" don't also get. Even though we already know you're one of the slackers fricking off on TD all day anyway.

It's amazing how eager you are to show your arse. Truly. The cope is unprecedented. Or maybe not so much these days. Take heart in knowing most people are like you.

Because you're an a-hole. And what's worse, a passive aggressive a-hole.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with working from home.
These companies and managers that are sticklers for butts in seats at the office are in for a rude awakening these next 5-10 years.

I would post an email the night before that I am working from home. The boss just had to deal with it, and he did. He knew I was the group alpha. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconcheers.gif)

I'm not sure you know what half those words mean.

But he’s not doing more than asked. That’s the best part. He’s been banging away at his keyboard on the OT all morning screaming “muh productivity!!”

That's definitely a cope post. Wear your shortcomings like a badge of honor. Seems to be the thing these days. "here's why I suck" is actually a thing. Mind-blowing.

I'm confused, which one of us sucks here? It sure seems to be you, but maybe I'm coping too much
