Show me the proof.

There’s no proof one way or the other.

I have a 11 month old who hasn’t gotten vaccines (wife isn’t high on vaccines)
Her OBGYN couldn’t show her proof it’s been proven that it doesn’t, neither could our child’s pediatrician. Both claimed there wasn’t enough proven research, but still insisted we give him all 73 vaccines.

I’m not opposed to all the vaccines, maybe 30 or so, but if you could point me in the direction of the scientific proof that the MMR doesn’t, I’d gladly appreciate that.

ETA: Don’t just downvote, that does nothing, provide a contribution. I’m open minded on the issue. Really would enjoy facts.

To me it's either pesticides or vaccines. Whenever I have kids I will get them vaccines but I won't be getting them all at once. Gotta space them out.

For the pesticides, it's more anecdotal, but I work in a rich white suburb of Atlanta...they all have pristine manicured lawns that undoubtedly have loads of pesticides applied to them. And a lot of these families have at least one special needs kid. Walking barefoot (large pores on bottom of feet) on pesticide grass is no bueno.

He stood to gain market share from the alternative vaccines he had a financial interest in if the MMR vaccine was discredited.
Fortunately, we can trust Big Pharma.

They had no "financial interest" in pushing the vaccine onto us.

Going by the number of autists on this board, the OT rate of childhood vaccination must have approached 100%.

I am someone with a child diagnosed with autism. Vaccines do not cause autism.

The MMR-Autism story basically originated in a 1998 "study" published by Andrew Wakefield in "The Lancet" medical journal.

It was fraudulent work. The results were demonstrably falsified. Wakefield was a charlatan. After 10-12 yrs, The Lancet formally retracted Wakefield's work and detailed rationale for the discreditation.

Aside from that, you are asking your docs to disprove a negative. There is no evidence of association of vaccines and autism, much less direct causation.

There is no evidence because it’s not in anyone’s interest to show a link so nobody will fund a study and never will. I am not saying that there is a link but I know several physicians that are very concerned about overloading kids with vaccines just for convenience when we have no clue whether it’s a problem or not. Kinda like the female hormones we drugged all the kids with in the 90s -2000s. They are guinea pigs, we have no clue on results

What vaccine schedule is your doctor using? Unless 73 was hyperbolic.

Until they know for sure what DOES cause it, nobody can say for sure that vaccines don’t cause it. And they don’t know for sure what causes it.

Also, “autism” has a wide range of symptoms and levels of function. “They” don’t even know for sure that all people diagnosed with autism have the same thing wrong with them.

Seriously, though. Doctors don’t even know what specifically has gone wrong in the brains of those with autism. There is no test. It’s diagnosed by symptoms. Nobody has identified a physical, genetic, or chemical difference in the brains of all people with autism vs those without it. We don’t even truly know what it is.
