They would have more than enough crawfish for Louisianans, but they now export a very large percentage of crawfish out to other states like Texas.

A year without boiled crawfish wont kill us (consumers).

I stocked up on tail meat at $9.99 a lb.

Had an ol boy in Thibodaux selling live sacks for $12.99/lb. His comment was sorry, don't have a lot of supply, so I have to sell them at boiled prices. WTF. Who's buying a $450-500 sack of crawfish? But I bet he sold them within an hour...

LSU Ag Center Crawfish Specialist Mark Shirley

The other unknown Shirley says is wild crawfish in the Atchafalaya Basin

Maybe we can find a real specialist and let this Gomer go? A guy claiming to be a crawfish specialist who hasn't gathered facts aboot the basin is just collecting a check. The basin is the motherland of crawfish production.

We joke about it a lot, but I have been hearing the same from months from people that know.

They knew we were fricked many months ago. The drought was brutal

That's depressing, especially when you live in another state and already have to pay a little extra!
