no need for warrants if a business constantly uploads their camera feeds to a 3rd party, which police turn around and buy

Lafayette isn't surprising.. but honestly I'm surprised chalmette has any kind of new technology. coach o's fishing hole next

404 Media obtained the data from a researcher, who also described themselves as a hacktivist. This researcher identified a public-facing Fusus API, and determined how to look up the different camera stats for specific agencies.

I will never again live under the jurisdiction of a police department. I only have to deal with a Sheriff, that is elected by the people.

I've been in the room at Lafayette PD where they have officers that sit and watch a wall of tv screens with all the crime cameras broadcasting to them. It was pretty neat actually.

What’s the problem with the cameras? We have them here in Lexington and they had led to many arrests of criminals that committed crimes. They track a lot of criminals with outstanding warrants as well…solved a couple of murders and shootings. I’m glad we have them.

There’s only 3 roads leaving the parish and they all lead directly into Orleans parish. There is a police station and license plate cameras at each of these borders. These are fully necessary.

Doesn't Ring just turn over camera clips when asked by law enforcement? Not even waiting for a warrant.
