Someone mentioned that if you report it to WL&F and police the state will pay for your damages. Any truth to this or additional information.

Never heard of such a thing. More like report it to WL&F and you can claim the deer for processing if it's salvagable. Your car....your insurance.

Definitely give them a call on their hot line tonight. I'll be very curious as to see if their response is up to your satisfaction with the change in administration.

shite, Louisiana is more likely to fine you for hitting one of their deer than pay you.

No but if you call the police they'll come pick it up and bring the meat to a homeless shelter.. or his cousin's house depending on what part of they state you're in.

Sure man. And if you get robbed in New Orleans they'll track down the criminals and get your stuff back.

Got a 6 point with a Nissan Sentra many years ago. Just kick the dead deer. You’ll feel a little better.

Can you imagine a State Trooper taking a call about this shite?
"Sure Ma'am, did you get the tag number and insurance information from the deer?"

Would be far less shocked if they issued a citation for failure to maintain and vehicular demise of a game animal, or some other made up BS than paying for anything ….
If you want the state of Louisiana to give you any money… You have to either accept one of their low paying jobs, have no job altogether… Or be the recipient of one of those backroom brother-in-law contractor deals for a state construction project ….

You can call the local homeless shelter. They'll send someone your way who'll frick the deer.

The person who told you that is either
A) over the age of 65
or
B) lives in a trailer
