I've seen several people say that hopefully by next year, we should be a mid-tier SEC team. Since when is it our goal to be a middle of the pack SEC team in any sport? I know historically MBB hasn't been our best sport but shouldn't we have higher standards? Especially now since we can pay athletes and have one of the bigger brands in the country. Just seems like we're settling for mediocrity.

You can say that all you want but when you came from every single player transferring out to now it’s gonna take some time. Especially if you don’t hit on a few transfers to make you better quicker like this season.

Have you watched any games? MM is a good coach that gets the most out of his players, he just hasn’t got that much talent here yet. From what I’ve read he has a good class coming, give the man another year and let’s see what happens

Switch to McNeese. They won again last night.

Seriously, the game at Auburn gives me some hope. They could be the best team in the conference and we had a chance to win. We are definitely a better team this season.

No one is settling for mediocrity. If we had not hired Mulkey we likely don't get things moving in the right direction for the PMAC. McMahon understood what he walking into from a facilities, scholarship, roster and NIL situation. I want to see improvement and I am seeing it. Until LSU invests more in men's basketball they will never get over the hump. When Saban was here he begged that the PMAC get fixed and he wasn't even the damn basketball coach. We have the lowest NIL value in the SEC. I am just glad we can even attract players to be honest with you. Lastly, I see a team that is together and playing hard so that satisfies me at the moment. Let the season play out.

The Wade cucks still pine over him 2 years later when he left the program with 1 player on the team. GFYS

The big problem for CMM is that he will be starting from scratch again next season. He has signed a couple of nice recruits, but they are sitting at #8 in the SEC with 2 signees. LSU will lose 6-7 players and that is with assuming Stewart and Chest are back next season.

Williams is a nice guard and has played well at times this season. Ward and Reed show flashes but still just checkout for long stretches. CMM's big upside is supposed to be developing players, and Ward & Reed just aren't developing that fast.

Long story short, CMM will be relying on the portal again this offseason to try and put together a winning SEC team.

Middle of the pack next year…. That means your building. I’d rather build and then be consistent than catch lightning in a bottle

it drives me crazy when people cite this as some sort of huge advantage for LSU. Newsflash: SO CAN EVERYONE ELSE! What about the per capita income or economic infrastructure in Louisiana, or the size of our alumni base, makes you think that we are just going to go out and money-whip programs like Texas, Michigan, Georgia, Florida, Ohio State, UCLA, etc.? I think the Wild West free-for-all that we are in right now in college athletics, with de facto annual free agency, will be long-term bad for LSU.
