And 1 hand on qb should be considered a sack. The personal fouls for "roughing the passer" and qb sliding is ruining the game. Mahomet has a 20yd rush because Riley though he was gonna slide. Qb shouldn't have so much power on the field

This is actually a good idea to consider. How about putting flags on the qb?

The Texans put a pretty good shot on Flacco today as he just went into a slide and they didn't call anything.

So no QB runs? Or just no scrambles beyond line of scrimmage? If the latter, how do you distinguish scramble from run?

If you think this ^^^^ is appropriate then I guess running backs shouldn't be able to lower the head and use their helmet to smash into the tacklers?

Then they would need fo remove the back name from title. Call them Thrower and Handoffer? Or Passer and Handoffer

Sounds like a Miami problem

Should’ve played harder

Just take away the slide and giving yourself up. Then QB can decide if they want to brave scrambling past the line of scrimmage. The easy thing is to take away the protection.

Awesome... then the defenses around the league won't have to worry about Lamar Jackson running all over the place.

But banning QB runs is pretty ridiculous.

This is what it took to get a roughing the passer call in the 80s....and 10 seconds after he threw the pass. There basically was no roughing the passer unless it was deemed outside the bounds of the game.

How about the hands to the face Ramsey got last night? Called a straight arm but legitimately pushed his head back at a bad angle. Different strokes for different folks

They need to eliminate the penalty for hitting a sliding player. Only call it if it meets the definition of a late hit like on any other player. The problem with sliding is, if a player is tackling "correctly" his leading shoulder should be at waist height, or right at the head of a sliding player.
