AJ's girlfriend Blanca was way out of his league.

Jackie Jr. was supposed to be in Pre Med at Rutgers.
Premed just means you’ve declared it as your major. You’re not in medical school yet. So he was saying he was just a freshman in college. Nothing special.
I agree with AJ. Hated his character but I guess that was the point, he was spoiled and a disappointment, not like his father. I do believe him being the football star was Tony and then believeing he was better than he was. Like he was an average player but they saw him as a star.
Jackie Jr was a great character and should have had a major role. They totally wasted his character.

Ehhhh, not for me.
Wished Ralphie could've stayed on the show longer, but shite was boiling for way too long with Tony and him. You knew it was just a matter of time before Tony had to deal with Ralphie.

Agree. AJ was about how we coddle and spoil our kids today, not about him being some strong take over the mob type character. Jackie Jr. was one of the funniest characters on the show. He was doomed from the start though so not sure they could have avoided his demise.

AJ never had the makings of a varsity athlete

Carmella was attractive enough. I think it was a thrill thing, hooking up with the boss's wife taboo. That's how I viewed it.

I took that as AJ got lucky, got a few sacks, and Tony overblowing it like a lot of parents would and thinking AJ was WAY better than he actually was. I never once got the feel from the writers that they were saying AJ was actually a good athlete.
Tony's mom and sister story lines bothered me more than anything. We all know people like them but son of b I hated watching them do anything.

Also Tony was paranoid about anyone knowing that he was seeing a psychiatrist, but dated and some chick that he met in her lobby.
In reality Tony would have probably had her whacked so she couldn't blab about it.
Gloria offed herself so he didn't have to worry about it. He also made it very clear to her that he would kill her

the Gloria story line was about how Tony was attracted to destructive women like his mom and sister, not about how logical and cunning he was.

And lastly Meadow's meathead boyfriend Jackie Jr. was supposed to be in Pre Med at Rutgers.
That's the last thing I'd ever refer to Jackie Jr as. He was just an entitled wanna be gangster.

I agree with you about Carmella. That bothered me a lot. I liked Furio and that was a crap way to write him out. Would’ve been more realistic to have Furio go after Meadow or Adriana.

Gosh I wish I could unwatch the show just to watch it again.

5'5" 180-200 lbs wouldn't necessarily keep someone from being good at nose guard or something in middle school, especially if he was quick and athletic, and playing against a bunch of white kids. Sure, he was a pussy, but probably had a lot of subconscious toughness because Tony is his dad.
Carmella wasn't a smoke show, but she was a fine looking middle-aged mother.

AJ had a sack in a game, and got named captain for a game in middle school football.

Like AJ being a football star. A defensive lineman that led the team in sacks and was voted team Captain. The guy that played AJ is 5' 5" and even when he was a fatso probably didn't even weigh 200 pounds.
He didn’t lead in sacks. He recovered a fumble after riding the bench for 3 quarters. And I think at that point of the show he was Junior Varsity. The school was an elite catholic private school in Jersey, they wouldn’t have had much in the way of top athletes anyways.

Also the way that they portrayed Carmella as some sort of babe. They had Furio & the Construction Guy on the verge of risking their lives to get with a Mob boss's wife because she was just so irresistible, when in reality she is not even remotely attractive. Ugly face, old & wrinkled, horrible "mom bod".
She wasn’t a babe but I don’t find her ugly either. The construction guy made sense. He was hurt from losing his wife and Carm threw herself on him so that prompted an emotional response. Him being a blue collar guy she wasn’t out of his league.
Furio’s character was different from the rest of the monsters. He seemed to value a connection and communication over physical looks. He wasn’t big into fricking all the strippers and such either.

Everyone learned of Tony seeing the psychiatrist way before he started seeing Gloria

He was never pre-med he lied to appease Tony who tried to honor Jackie Sr wish that his son go to school and not get caught up in the “business”

Gloria Trillo forever my girl.
She was smoking to me. And her level of crazy made her hotter. I’ve dated a dangerous chick like that once. They will frick your head up. Sex is good though
Adriana is still the hottest in that show to me. The gaudy goombah makeup, clothes, hair really fit her. It makes most women look trashy but her it actually made her hotter

Jackie was a douche.
The funniest characters were Paulie and Ralph. Any scene with Paulie and Christopher was comedic gold
