Wasn’t it Hatch that got his bells rung and almost couldn’t walk off the field?

And, if our defense makes about 15 more defensive 3rd down snaps JD may have another 7-8 TDs. Let’s Geaux in 2024.

Who would have thought LSU would be cranking out Heisman trophy winning QB's 10 years ago?
Surprises me more than the undefeated season. Then add the fact that we have a solid chance for the #1 QB in the country… pipe dream a few years ago.
Just get this defense fixed and we’re onto a whole new level of golden years that we haven’t experienced.

That’s another thing, Daniels was left in the game late in the second half of the season to pump his stats for the heisman.
You sure it wasn’t because we needed him in the game so that we could have a shot at winning in most of them due to a historically bad LSU defense.

People just pretend that wasn’t the case because Joe is football Jesus for LSU.
And how many National Championships did JD win??

Joe had way better defenses.. both are great QB’s

Um, if you eliminated Burrows rent a win opponents in 2019 and just used the 12 games vs SEC comp, playoffs and Texas (7 top 10 teams btw) and compared them to Jaydens 12 games this season, rent a wins included, Burrow’s numbers are still better.

Daniels has the highest passer rating of any Heisman winner.
Accentuate the positive. Eliminate the negative.
Sure Daniels was light years better than Nuss in 2022 and 2023, but your boy is starting in 2024. Find some joy in that.

Love the hypocrisy from you guys. I simply point out facts about Joe Burrow and that’s considered bashing JD5 but you guys do the same to Burrow and think yourselves righteous even though you have to dismiss numbers and create a narrow and bias lane to push your narratives. Total hypocrites.

You tried OP. You were trying to celebrate both QBs, and talking about how stunning it is for LSU to have, not just one Heisman winning QB, but two in five years. Personally, I don’t think we should be saying a bad word about either.

I didn't come into this thread mitigating Burrow's accomplishments by going through a data dropping analysis of the two greatest QBs in LSU's history. I love Joe Burrow. I watch Joe Burrow. I wish Joe Burrow was a personal friend of mine.
But you take every opportunity to downplay Daniels' success. We know why, but knowledge is only the first step. You need to act on it.
I didn't downplay Burrow or Nussmeier. I posted this:

Now you’re just making shite up, there was zero commentary in my post. First off my post was in response to someone attacking Burrow and I didn’t downplay JD, I simply gave a comparison, heavily slanted toward JD, in response to yet another JD5 > Burrow comment.

I said that you posted a data dropping comparison between Burrow and Daniels to minimize Daniels' success . . . and you just admitted to doing exactly that . . . except that you said, loosely translated, "but Daaaddd, he did it first."
You won't get better if you don't try.

Had LSU played in Atlanta as well as two playoff games, Daniels would've come pretty close to Joe's TD number from 2019.
Playing devils advocate. if LSU had a defense, Jayden Daniels wouldn’t have needed to put up so many points as he did. Not saying he wouldn’t have, but I think he would’ve been pulled in a few games.

Again complete hypocrisy. “Posting facts is bashing Daniels” isn’t an argument or you making a point. It just proves your bias.

You didn't just "post facts about Daniels." You showed your bias, and I can prove your bias.
Let's analyze your motive:
quote:Someone made a post elevating Daniels' statistics above Burrow's stats. You didn't like that. You got upset. You lashed out.
First off my post was in response to someone attacking Burrow . . . I simply gave a comparison . . . in response to yet another JD5 > Burrow comment.
Let's analyze your modus operandi. You admit that you "gave a comparison" to show that Daniels is not as good as that poster thought.
You intentionally, with premeditation and malice aforethought, minimized and mitigated Daniels' success to argue that Daniels is "just not that good" because you are biased against him.
I could attempt to dig up all of your 2022 and early 2023 posts telling everyone how Nuss should start over Daniels, but those threads have likely been deleted because of how moronic they were.
The prosecution rests.

Your entire post is a mix of straw men and outright false statements.
