At what point did you tell your parents you're gay

If these parents had a truck in the 70s or 80s it probably would have had loud exhaust

I think a lot of people nowadays use an X-shaped dual exhaust setup instead of an H-shaped one. The old "H pipe" design did a good job of balancing out the sound coming from each bank. The "X pipe" does not; the resulting sound is kind of like two inline four-cylinder engines revving next to each other- not good.

Two inline 4s is more the sound of a flat-plane crank than an X-pipe. You can get flat-plane sound from a cross-plane crank with 180 degree headers and close with 8 to 1 headers but both are a packaging nightmare.

An X-pipe does give the exhaust a higher-pitched sound like a pair of inline fours/flat plane crank but it isn't nearly the same. An X-pipe will generally produce more HP whereas an H-pipe will produce more torque and will also amplify the throaty rumble of an American (cross-plane) V8. In general, an H-pipe matches the character and function of most pickups except something like a Baja runner.

If you had told me in High School that I'd have the income I have now and be driving a Corolla... I'd have thought you were a fricking nut.

Love my compact 4 door and would bet I've had more dead deer in the trunk of my car than almost any baw using a 3/4 ton truck to commute 30 minutes to work during the week.

I will admit that I want a Kei Truck.

Don’t those exhausts usually make them fail emissions?

This. I ran true duals on my truck for 12 years and when I bought a new truck I fell in love with the peace and quiet. But what another man chooses to do to his vehicle is his business. I'm not paying for it. I just don't devote the energy to GAF about things that have zero affect on me.

Loud exhaust
6" lift
Big tires

If you see those, guaranteed douche bag. Not to mention, they level the trucks so their bright arse LEDs blind everyone on the road at night.
