How would you handle this? Picture on page 5

Weird story but everything is true and I have no clue why someone would do this.
Guy shows up at my golf club two days ago and wants to join the club. I tour him and he says he is in. He is very erratic and high strung and seems off to me. Says he is a member at another high profile club in Phoenix (that checks out and that club vouches for him)
Signs all paperwork and fills out bank info, but he can’t pay $50k initiation fee till his home closes in Phoenix (house is not on market yet). He has two cars here in town. A 2021 Shelby GT500 and a Dodge TXR
The guy asks me if I will take his Shelby and store it so it’s in a safe place till his house closes. Tells me I can drive it all I want and that it’s “my” car to keep till he joins.
Leaves me the keys and that’s that.
I call my coo friend to have him check plates and come check car for anything. Car is clean and all checks out. So now I have this $125k car in my garage and everyone I know including me feels something isn’t right, especially given this guys weird vibe.
He went back up to Phoenix and then going to Tahoe next week and all the while I have this strangers car in my garage. Yes I have driven it a few times haha.
But what gives? People tell me to get rid of it, give it back. Other people saying enjoy it and the good fortune.
This guy told me multiple times he might just give it to me at some point.
All is so bizarre I don’t even know how to wrap my head around it. Am I gonna die?

You outed your friend for committing a crime.

You've accepted a "gift" from a likely felon.
You are now indebted to him for "favors."
Your choices are to complete illegal acts, fight or butt sex.
Your choice of the above will determine what happens next.

Based on the information you’ve shared with us…
I project you to lose your butt-cherry by the terminus of the weekend.

Guy is probably 60 years old, looks like he is in poor health. Not worried about my physical safety at all from the look of things

Maybe he's going through a messy divorce?

It’s not a stock car. It’s higher value than MSRP

He did mention divorce a few times. What does that have to do with the car? Enlighten me please

By next Christmas you gonna be putting a few dollars on his commissary and signing up for a conjugal

You never take possession of another person's property as collateral. What are you? A payday loan center?
If you're really running a $50K club, it should be a come back when you have $50K club.
Odd way to do business.

info, but he can’t pay $50k initiation fee

You do this type of deal often?
Posted on 12/29/23 at 9:39 pm to AZTiger7072
He's on drugs, doesn't need the car, and hopes the car will cover the initiation fee.

I don’t know how the course of events will unfold, but I strongly suspect that you’ll end up sucking this guy’s cock to spare your own life…
