The time I got a rebel flag blanket and the time my stepmother wrapped my stepbrothers used long johns and gave to me.
Other then that it has been good.

Spuds McKenzie high tops. Probably worth $$ these days.

One year when I was middle school/high school aged my mom bought me men's Tommy cologne instead of Tommy Girl.
To be fair, I don't think she realied she bought the men's cologne instead.

Damn, was she being an intentional witch, or just an extremely thoughtless witch?

I’ve gotten several of those cheap, gimmicky tools that are sold on informercials, but I know the intention was good.

We were poor growing up which meant a lot of our gifts were handmade. During the height of the Coke wardrobe hysteria, my grandmother gave me a home made Coke sweatshirt. It wasn’t bad looking, well, except for it being a reddish/pinkish hue rather than the Coke red. I got clowned hard!
My father called and told me he’d buy me a pair of sneakers for Christmas. I had been wanting the original Air Force 1’s. He did gift me Air Force 1’s but unfortunately they were two different sizes. He brought those back and, because of Christmas, bought me Reeboks. Unfortunately, again no good, they were the light blue (womens version) so back he went. I ended up getting Le Coq Sportiff’s. That made for a brutal first week back to school. “You’re wearing cocks” bahhahahah. I owe that man a lot. It’s because of him, and those shoes, that I learned to fight.

It was intentional. I never knew why that lady didn't like me.

An eight foot long toboggan. We had a real hill and the few times it snowed it didn't snow enough to cover the tall grass which was ok for a sled. Three years later we had enough snow for the toboggan.

What's funny now is you, if you're like me, would be thrilled to get new sheets.

Bro, that type of shite can really create disaffected kids. I hope you were one who learned how to channel that negativity into some positive personal thoughts. “I’ll show her and the world that I AM worthy of love” sort of thing.

Knock off Members Only. Then several years later, an actual Members Only after they went out of style.

My Great Grandmother would buy the great-grandkids (there were about 15 of us, varying ages) these atrocious sweaters with matching socks every Christmas Eve. With applique flowers and lace. Terrible doesn't begin to describe.

The yearly $10 gift card to Golden Carrol from my wife’s great aunt.

The year when all I got for Christmas was two packs of Walmart tube socks.

Wow, she sounds like a heartless count!
