All hail the Festivus report. Billions and billions of our tax payments wasted.

And understand why you have no money left at the end of the year and how your tax dollars are wasted.
This marks Dr. Paul’s ninth edition of the Festivus Report as he continues working to alert the American people to how their federal government uses their hard-earned money.
Some of the highlights include the National Institutes of Health spending a portion of a $2.7 million grant to study Russian cats walking on a treadmill and Barbies used as proof of ID for receiving COVID Paycheck Protection Program funds. The Department of Defense ruined over $169 million worth of military equipment by leaving it outside, the United States Agency for International Development spent $6 million to promote tourism in Egypt, and the Small Business Administration gave ‘struggling’ music artists like Post Malone, Chris Brown, and Lil Wayne over $200 million.

Fox in the hen house is one thing.
The American taxpayer is a hen in the fox house.

Wasted?
No, it is being distributed accordingly.
None of it is "wasted". It is handed out per promises made. Laundered, embezzled
, etc. Through NGOSs, third world countries, you name it. Everyone playing the game gets their cut.

Boy no kidding. And yet I don’t sense the outrage that I’d expect. Is it apathy? Hopelessness or are Americans now like fans of the Hunger Games or zoo animals. Feed me and I’m content with not being free? A nation of rigged individualists turned into sheep in less than 250 years. Less than most of Europe. Less than Rome.

Are you telling me you don’t want to pay millions to fund grants for transgendered monkey studies at Cornell?
Racist.
Racist.

Is there a link to this, I’d enjoy passing this around to a few morons.

Nickelback got 2 million of American taxpayer dollars. When do the marches start?

Some people should be put in handcuffs and perp-walked for this.

Only 25 pages long, I highly encourage everyone to get the pdf and go through it pdf link. If the link doesn't work, make sure there are no spaces in there.
- Gov added $4T to our debt this year. That's 40,000 pallets of $100 bills.
- We borrow $60k per second.
- $659B in interest payments on our debt. In 2022 we paid $475B, so the growth in interest alone is massive. Think of what we can fund with just the differential in interest.
- $6M to help tourism in Egypt. $100M for this cause over the years.
- $50B in overpayments for Medicaid (or Medicare).
- $4M to study COVID misinformation in black and rural communities while it was the government, Big Pharma, and Big Tech doing all the misinforming.
- Fauci's institute at NIH doing transgender stuff to monkeys, which is not just a waste of money but flatly inhumane.
- Total of $236B in overpayments. Much of it related to covid.
None of this will change until voting habits change and we force new people into government and force out the corrupt idiots that create this mess every year.

I saw a clip of Rand on OAN earlier showing that we spent something like $1.3M studying whether or not a certain species of bird was more sexually promiscuous while under the influence of cocaine.
I was like, goddamn, seriously? They only need to look at all the Hunter tapes they're hiding to know the answer to that question. The laptop videos are pretty conclusive and incontrovertible.
ETA:
Seriously though, that wasn't a joke. Hunter really is a perverse, promiscuous cocaine addict, and our government really did waste over a million dollars getting birds gettered out and watching them frick. I hate, truly hate, what this nation has become.
But thank GOD for our few patriots willing to expose it. Before Rand Paul took up the mantle and began his annual "festivus report", my fellow Okie Tom Coburn (GOD rest his soul) always revealed things just as ridiculously wasteful in his annual wasteful spending report, such as funding a $4M research project studying how pigeons in Central Park reacted to the presence of a robotic squirrel.
The fact that every Congress for the past 30 years hasn't been tarred and feathered, is proof that America has already fallen.

This will never happen unless you restrict voting. We have largely ignorant voters and it will only get worse moving forward. Makes me wish I never had kids, I fear for their future.

Not disputing anything in your post. I would argue that the problems with how our elected officials behave are mostly due to systemic issues. Misaligned incentives deliver dysfunctional governance.
Hopefully whenever the current system is overhauled or replaced the next one will have even greater protections in place for the citizens keeping in mind all we the things have seen our “leaders” do since the 18th century, but I am not very optimistic.

We 100% need a President willing to shut it down if he doesn't get a balanced budget.
