I try not to assume. On the other hand, I am absolutely certain that professional military personnel should not engage an unarmed woman walking across a church compound with deadly force…especially from distance.

Borders are closed, there's no where they can go, except what are ostensibly safe places, like churches.

We're not talking about today. We're talking about weeks or months ago. It was stupid to stay. Making stupid decisions doesn't make you immune from harm in a war zone.

Honestly, these people should have left the day Palestine invaded Israel.

I believe they believe it. Doesn’t mean they aren’t being lied to.

"Kill them all. Let God sort them out" is considered to be a very manly, ballsy and non-pussy approach to conflict here in the USA by many folks who post in the war threads.

I'm not saying whether that is good or bad.

This is a general observation and not a response to you. Its also broad strokes, and while it applies to the culture overall, people will always be exceptions

The Israelis consider themselves racially/religiously superior to everyone else, Americans included, the Israelis are the chosen people, at the same time they understand their own weaknesses and genuinely resent their dependence on the US, if you’re the chosen people, why do you need Washington, that’s galling, simultaneously, they have contempt for their allies in the US, these people are tools in their eyes and they don’t respect people they can buy or “trick”

Saddling creations with original sin and then punishing them for eternity for not believing a certain thing

What an absolutely monstrous piece of shite. Lower than excrement

Little question why Christianity is dead to all but mostly scumbags who get off worshiping evil like this. Who needs Satan when you have god

The Vatican News Agency is an unreliable source regarding information concerning its own constituents?

The current Vatican? Operating under the current Pope?

Or, is this some outside party that just "reports" on Vatican stuff?

Either way, are Isreali snipers so bad at their jobs that they're readily identified by the people they're allegedly shooting?

ETA:

I went back and reread the "article." The "Israeli sniper" attribution comes from Palestinian sauces. Must be totally 100% true. And the Israeli defense of shelling was another "reportedly."

So, yes, the Vatican News Agency has done some solid reporting.

I couldn't read all of that but nothing coming from either side is very believable. My question, though; where would these people have been were there not an October 7 aggression on the part of HAMAS?

So this makes all the rapes and murders of October 7 OK now?

I agree with this. BUT, very patriotic people in most countries feel that way about their own culture and race.

Did I read the news wrong or did the IDF themselves admit the error of shooting the two non-combatants?

War is the result of original sin. All are guilty and corrupted by sin and that corruption manifests itself in actual sin, including the death and destruction of others in an unjust way.

The good news for Christians is that this world is not all there is. We have hope in glory and the resurrection to everlasting life with our savior.

The bad news for non-Christians is that this world is not all there is. Those who die in their guilty state will receive the just punishment for their sin for all eternity.

Everyone needs to put their trust in the Lord Jesus Christ to have their guilt removed and receive His perfect righteousness so that everyone can share in the same hope that goes beyond this sinful world.

What u say is true. Meanwhile, Israel has to deal with the reality of their "neighbors" strapping bombs to their chest and killing innocent Jews in cafes and buses. Personally, I don't believe their is grace or virtue in cowardice or allowing a bully or psychopath to kill innocents. Do you think God would rather Israel allow it's people to be slaughtered by a death cult whose sole purpose is to kill every Jew?
I don't.
