He’s not going to make a ton of money in the NFL, if any. He’s drastically improving his personal stock in life by earning a graduate degree. It’s a very wise move to return.

You do understand that NFL teams look at more than just stats, right?

The Rant sure knows how to latch on to something they read, and not understand it.

Just to clarify, I 100% agree on Josh Williams and would be thrilled for him to come back. I was talking about Diggs and responding to the guy who thought it absurd that Diggs was potentially thinking about leaving. I'm not trying to push him out by any means, but I'd understand it if he left.

Diggs is a complete, every down back and had a great season. His stats, which aren’t the only thing a pro GM looks at, are fine when considered in context. He missed the first game and most of the last three with injuries. He also happened to rotate a good bit and shared the backfield with a QB who runs like a gazelle chased by cheetahs. 650 is pretty solid over 9 games in this offense.

If there’s a major knock on Diggs as a reserve NFL back, it’s the injury issues. However, that could also explain why he may make the move to the Draft now.

With the 85 man numbers being tight I dont think we want him to come back, unless Diggs is leaving.
