we were better off letting Will Wade stay and ride out any sanctions the NCAA placed on the team. I don't think we knew we would fall this hard.

Some of us did, and called it. We were told to “get over it.”

I think the worry was that basketball sanctions would spill over into football, which woodward couldn't allow to happen.

Mike and Buddy predicted on their show this week that McNeese has a good enough team and is favored to win the conference championship. Which means Wade will be back in the big dance.
I would love to see it. McMan needs to find some Pro players fast if he wants to stay.

How many times are you guys going to rehash this? Wade had to go. Now did Woody have to do it in the way he did? No. But Wade was gone.

Unfortunately his leaving zeroed out the program in a way never seen before. It was done. It will take years to rebuild. Enjoy the small victories and watch as the program is rebuilt.

What the frick does that even mean?

LSU fans make the most stupid sounding excuses for this fiasco. It’s embarrassing.

Although I don't personally believe our MBB sanctions were ever going to affect football, I do believe the administration thought this.

In my opinion, too many posters on this board conflate when people discuss administration's reasonings for firing Wade with what they actually think led to Wade being fired.

Maybe… if you bitch about it a little more, the powers that be will let Wade come back so you whiners can shut up about it. I’m not happy he was let go but a thousand threads complaining about it every week isn’t going to change things.
