Exactly. The "in Church" experiences are different. My understanding is that the Orthodox churches in different parts of the world may have different liturgies, i.e. "in-church experiences".

This should be posted more often.
It can’t be emphasized enough.
That and Rules for Radicals.
It’s the damn playbook letter for letter.

No it is not…period.
what I find funny about the Orthodox Church is many of them require re-baptism for Catholics.
Which kinda goes against the whole Nicene Creed about one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
literally nothing is different between Catholic and Orthodox baptisms.

One of the steps to implementing Communism in America is to infiltrate the catholic church.
They almost certainly will be in league with the antichrist, and it wouldn’t be shocking if the pope at that time is the false prophet

Bless you brother for engaging in a discussion with me. As an Orthodox Christian, I would love for my Roman Catholic and Protestant brethren to join with the Orthodox as one Church.
The Wiki page is interesting and highlights some major issues; however, the scars from 1000 years of the Great Schism or Divorce can not be even covered well in this forum.
So many outstanding resources out there for those seeking our Lord and Redeemer and His Church.

All Christians of good will owe it to themselves to explore the doctrines of Orthodox Christianity. Faith, nurtured by habit and family tradition, can be a stubborn thing.
Yet I think that all traditional Catholics who have not looked over their shoulder across the Tiber River are not being completely honest with themselves. The failings of the Catholic church since Vatican II seemed to have exponentially escalated with the emergence of the current Jesuit Pope.

Which Orthodox Church do you belong to?
Do you take issue with anything in the wiki article that I linked?
I would encourage everyone to leave the Protestant faith and join the Orthodox Church. If you are Catholic, and you have an Orthodox church convenient for your location, check it out.

I think you’re asking which jurisdiction…my home Parish is ROCOR but I attend Antiochian as well as OCA parishes when traveling.
100% of my Parish are former Protestants and RC’s.

Sounds great to me. I would encourage all Protestants to get away from those heresies and join your Church. I would encourage all Roman Catholics to check out their local Orthodox church and prayerfully study the issue.
From my own review of the issues, the differences between Orthodox and Roman Catholic are IMHO not significant. Either or both are the right path, IMHO.

Is the Pope Catholic? Is he Christian?
I have serious concerns about Bergoglio's (aka Pope Francis) version of Catholicism. Even more concerns about his Christianity?
Bergoglio has some shady characters swirling around him. In particular this Argentine Prelate Marcelo Sánchez Sorondo (Chancellor of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences and Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences).
This is the same Marcelo Sorondo who raised some eyebrows when he stated the Chinese Communist form of socialism was more in line with the Gospel of Jesus than most capitalist countries in the West. It was then I began to suspect Bergoglio and Sorondo were closet communists. They've done nothing to change my mind. I'll say it - I'm fed up with these progressive prelates using the laity in social experiments.
Let us all pray that God will dump this Marxist and send us another great Pope like John Paul II. My personal favorite? Robert Cardinal Sarah from Guinea.
Pater carissime, mitte nobis, Sancte Pontifex, ut nos perducat in semitam rectam, Amen

There are a variety of views but generally the orthodox churches of the east disagree with Catholics in these matters.

God bless you and TD above and appreciate this conversation.
Regarding Orthodoxy and Roman Catholicism, there are 500 years of separation that have led us on divergent paths however, in Christ, all Truth is found and in Him only, is where we find salvation.
St. Saavas the Sanctified (533 A.D.) said, “We shall never accept any innovation in matters of the Faith. We shall persist in all things the God-bearing Fathers have bequeathed to us, both those of the first Council of Nicea, being 318 in number, and those of the three Ecumenical Synods.
And we are prepared not only to suffer every form of punishment but even to receive a myriad of deaths rather than to deviate from Orthodoxy in the least!”
This was and is the spirit of the Church of the Lamb Who takes away the Sins of the World.

there are alot of perceived differences by the Orthodox on certain theological issues, but for some of it I think it's just a giant game of semantics

Semantics = Study of meaning in language
Heresy = theological or religious opinion or doctrine maintained in opposition, or held to be contrary, to the ‘catholic’ or orthodox doctrine of the Christian Church.
So in that case, semantics matter as the Church from its beginning at Pentecost has anathemized Bishops/Popes holding heretical beliefs/teachings.
There are several dogmas held by Roman Catholicism that Orthodox find to be heretical and therefore, why we are not in communion.
My background is I grew up in a nominal Baptist home, and in my journey to truly know Christ, I attended the whole gamut of Evangelical denominations and it wasn’t till I was sitting on a deer stand in north MS one cold January day in 2019 that I just cried out to GOD to show me His Church I read about in Acts and that He promised the gates of Hell would not prevail against…
He opened my eyes like a newborn and brought me home to Orthodoxy. I pray for His mercy and grace on all my Christian brothers who read this to seek the “fullness of the Faith” in Holy Orthodoxy.
Lord have mercy on us all and I thank those taking the time to discuss this here.

Regarding Orthodoxy, they take icons too far.
I read Stephen Freeman and have great respect for Catholic theologians.
I can’t stand the effects of Sola Scriptura, but I can’t justify in my heart or mind what has become of the papal office.
Regarding Orthodoxy, everything about it is just too vague for this Western, Enlightened influenced Protestant. I still enjoy some reason and logic while pursuing mystery.
