He has to be the dumbest motherfricker alive, right? He was absolutely losing it at the ref about the no call on roughing the kicker. He didn't know the rule doesn't apply to rugby-style kickers lmao. The refs were probably making fun of how dumb he was after the game. You would think this would be something he would know considering, you know, he went out of his way to get Hedley a rugby-style kicker (who sucks complete arse by the way) in pace of Gillikin, a normal-style kicker.

How no one has made a bigger deal of it is an embarrassment to the organization. It's really a microcosm of how this team is being run with Allen at the helm. People think Allen's role as a HC boils down to his defensive performance, but this is one of those things Payton would have never missed. It's unfathomable how many bad decisions Allen and staff has made in the span of two years.

So much of an idiot that he drew up a blocked punt on the next series.

Unless you consider the fact that he's emotions after that play set the stage for his ST unit to block the next Panther punt and take it to the endzone, and their punter had to be helped off the field.

That's the kind of coach I want.

Congrats on nephi Sewell running completely untouched and tackling the punter. Another 4 years of Allen are in order

nah

A special teams coach that implements a rugby style punter (who isn't good by the way) can't not recognize that said punter isn't protected like a standard punter.

The OP is right.

No he is't and neither are you.

But I understand you guys are going to hate on everything New Orleans Saints until Carr and Allen are gone.

But the truth is Darren Rizzi is a highly successful and respected coach in the NFL. Far far from a "dumb MFer"

I like Rizzi. However, in all fairness, he did not draw up anything. The Panthers simply did not block Sewell. It was a blatant blown assignment.

How can you like someone who kept Grupe and Hedley over Lutz and Gillikin?

I would have preferred to keep Lutz, but understand the decision. As far as Hedley, that is a headscratcher. Neither he or Gillikin were good during preseason, but I saw no reason to keep Hedley (and not correct that mistake yet). However, I have liked his ST units and the players seem to love him.

And you can thank legalized sports betting for that for that. Same with the interception / strip fumble.

Before sports betting the call on the field would have stood and no one would have cared.

Now we have people gambling on everything so the NFL has to have a team of people to review everything to satisfy the gambling interest.

But you're right not a blocked punt. For whatever it's worth.
