He was never top 5 during his playing career. Hell, was he ever tip 10 when compared to contemporaries

Not a chance. Flacco is the contemporary Jeff George.

No but he was better than a lot of people gave him credit for.

He's like a Mark Rypien. Probably not going to happen.

He has never approached All-Pro status, he never finished top 10 for MVP or POY and only got invited to one pro bowl in his entire career. Stats wise, he is comparable to Derek Carr, Andy Dalton, and Carson Palmer. Matt Ryan has 150% of his yards and they each came in the league in 2008.

The only thing of consequence he ever really did was win a SB. Of course that's big, but not enough to overcome the years of being average.

He's not a HOFer but people forget that the first 10 years of his career, he was on pace even if not on the star level of his contemporaries (Manning, Brady, etc)

Flacco's first 10 years: 39,000+ yards, 225 TDs, 100+ wins and one of the greatest playoff runs a QB has ever had. Not many QBs have done that.

His career just petered out. Would be an interesting debate if he had stayed in Baltimore and continued to put up respectable numbers - ala Matt Ryan.

Flacco was a really good QB from 2008 through their Super Bowl win in February 2013. After that, he got paid and the talent around him dropped off some. The defense also dropped off considerably. When that happened, he began to fall off, too.

What’s a postseason run? Like Super Bowl loss?

Crunching numbers over here - needs a SB win, and an epic showing in postseason. Also one Emmitt Smith dive over the top TD. That’d be enough for a HOF nominee.
