No White Faculty Allowed
At the University of Washington, civil rights laws have not stopped blatant racial discrimination in faculty hiring.
A recent internal investigation into faculty hiring at the University of Washington reveals the exhaustive efforts that universities make to discriminate against white job applicants. After the university’s Department of Psychology identified a white candidate as best qualified for a tenure-track professor position in early 2023, the department’s Diversity Advisory Committee pressured the hiring committee to re-rank candidates in accordance with the methodology laid out in an internal handbook titled “Promising Practices for Increasing Equity in Faculty Searches” so that a black woman would receive the job instead. This handbook, obtained by the National Association of Scholars, spells out how to exclude candidates of undesirable races and ensure that candidates of preferred races get hired.
The handbook sheds light on past discriminatory hiring practices in the psychology department. In the 2020–21 academic year, the department hired only BIPOC (black, indigenous, people of color) candidates for five tenure-track positions. Delighted by its success in excluding all white candidates, the department’s Diversity Advisory Committee commissioned the “Promising Practices” handbook as a case study documenting its past manipulation of the hiring process. The handbook served as a how-to manual in the 2022–2023 academic year, ensuring that a BIPOC candidate would be hired for the department’s only tenure-track professorship that year.

I've seen this in the private sector, an Indian women vetoed a white male candidate, because he was a white male. The man was gay, but I don't think she realized that. I assume it would have changed the outcome.
Its reasonable to assume this will only get worse and worse, and become ubiquitous, not just in education, and government, but in the private sector.

We wish. These practices are the only reason that Sotomayor and Brown Jackson are on the bench.

That is some racist arse shite right there.
This further proves the left is devolving into an anti-white movement

They're also the reason Thomas, Gorsuch, and Kavanaugh are on the bench.

Only if the courts enforce the rules, they won't if they're Democratic judges, and there are certainly a lot of Republican appointed judges who wouldn't have the courage to stop it.
Those judges are worried about being called racist, or otherwise having their reputation socially smeared by the media. A Clarence Thomas doesn't care what people say about him, but there aren't a lot people with his strength.

Colleges/universities are at the point where they will be committing academic suicide.
Last time I looked LSU' graduation rate it was about 45%.
Southern's graduation rate of 2023 is 32 % .
Keep on with this equity krap and see what happens.

I don't know about you, but my company loves them some black and women's diploma mills to "partner" with.

I hope those Wash Huskies get their liberal arses handed to them by Texas.
Lets face it years ago a lot of liberal Californians moved to Wash and contaminated the public square.
Wash is starting to grow some balls a draw lines in the sand

It happened to me back in 1968 when I applied for a job at Fisher -Price in Buffalo, New York. Back then it was called an outreach program.
I woke up the morning of my job interview excited at the possibility of finally getting a job after graduating from UGA with a Math degree. I looked out the window and to my horror there was a foot and a half of snow already on the ground and it was still snowing. There was literally a blizzard occurring. I wanted the job so bad that I shoveled 60 feet of snow out of my driveway and drove 25 miles to my interview at Fisher-Price. When I finally got there I couldn't find the parking lot because it was covered with snow. I had to park my car a half of a mile away from the building where my job interview was and walked through the blizzard and deep snow that had already fallen. When I finally reached the front door I was frozen stiff and covered with snow. I banged on the door and after a few minutes two men came to the door and let me in. When I told them I was there for the job interview they were shocked that I was there. They hired me on the spot because I was the only person who showed up for their interview. A few weeks later my boss called me into his office and told me that I was lucky there was a blizzard that day and no one else showed up for their interview, otherwise, if a black person or a woman had shown up for their interview then he would have had to hire them instead of me even though I was more qualified. He also told me that in the future if he needed to fire someone he would have to me first before he fired a woman or black person. He also told me that he would have to promote a woman or a black person before me even if I was a better employee and deserved the promotion rather than them. He said it was an outreach program required by the government.

Agreed. It’s why critics of DEI initiatives and progressive ideology in universities need to stop saying things like, “the real world is going to eat them alive!”
The real world is very much turning into a progressive’s wet dream.

I would have flipped him off to his face, walked out and found another job.

anti white male discrimination must have been a yankee thing in the time period you reference
down south we were more concerned about the draft/vietnam war

It happened down South to me too at UGA. At my graduation ceremony, the woman I tutored in Math for 3 years who was a very slow learner came up to me very excited and thanked me for helping her get her Math degree. Then she showed me 3 unsolicited job offers she got in the mail before she even walked off campus. I was shocked because she got 3 unsolicited job offers in the mail and I didn't even get one. I couldn't figure out why that happened until I found out about government mandated outreach programs for women and black people.

My son’s high school adviser told him he might not want to pursue being a doctor because there is a slim chance as a white male he would be accepted into medical school with the current climate

They don't discriminate against white people money thats for damn sure.

I don’t understand stupid shite like this. Why wouldn’t you want the best person for the job?
Kinda like airlines diversity.
Do you want the best pilot flying the plane you are getting on or do you want the diversity hire who maybe barely passed flight school?
