How bout no more f#@king committees. That’s what kept college football from being great.

I don't know why THAT part gets left out.
Because they play in the SEC and the team they lost to also made the playoffs.

In 2016 the committee put OSU in OVER the conference champ Penn State that BEAT OSU in the head to head.
so they put the team in that had the fewer number of losses?
interesting concept.

In 2017 the snub multiple conference champs and let both UGA and Bama in despite Bama not even making it to Atlanta. Bama won the whole thing that year.
they put in the 1 loss teams over the 2 and 3 loss teams?
interesting concept

in 2020 They OSU in despite only playing 6 games.
wait! they put in the undefeated team instead of teams that had losses.
interesting concept

Ans then beat the back to back NCs on a 30 game win streak. Idk why that part keeps getting left out.
By 3 after getting a sham 7 points on a non-review by the officials.
After needing a miracle to beat Auburn.
After barely beating 4-8 Arky.
IDK why YOU keep leaving that part out.

the ACC had a winning record against the SEC this year.

With 12 teams next year, I think the committee will have less power. Like I said earlier, this year having 7 teams that had an argument to get into the 4 team playoff was an outlier. Most years it was really only 2-3 teams with a real shot at winning it all. With 12 teams in the dance, all the teams that really might win it will get in.

FSU getting in hurts the product because its a free pass for Michigan.
Remember when we all said the same thing before they played TCU last year?

More. Its all about the seeding.
The committee decided this year that W/L dont matter, that their own opinions are all that count.
LSU will get screwed over in favor of Bama or Texas in the future.

Look deeper into that. LSU was the only decent team to lose to the ACC. The rest of their wins came against like USC and Vandy.
I get that this is an argument that could be used to support FSU but that gets trumped because they beat LSU with their QB. HAd LSU played against Rodemaker (or whatever his name is) we would have won by 2 scores.

The only thing expansion guarantees is that the same flawed logic used today will be done so on a larger scale.
How anyone think that can equate to improvement is mind boggling.

The difference here is that Bama beat the number 1 team in the country in the final game

FSU struggled against both teams they played after their QB got hurt.
This is the one I don’t get. They didn’t struggle against Louisville. That game was never in question. The fsu defense allowed 6 points. Fsu defense alone keeps them in any game they play regardless of who is taking snaps under center.

So by that logic, FSU made all the plays it needed to to go undefeated.

Everyone knew GA was vulnerable this year.
Why did it take a miracle to beat Auburn?

To say that seeding power (which the yalready have) gives them more power than whether or not a team even gets a chance at all is laughable.
Also the idea that LSU will get screwed is ridiculous. Whether it was BCS or Committee, LSU has always gotten the benefit of the doubt. We got it in 2007 when we won a natty with 2 losses. We got it again in 2019 when we got the number 1 seed over 2 other undefeated teams. LSU won't get screwed because in order for us to be in the picture we would have already beaten the teams they would screw us over in favor of.

It's funny how the arguments on subjectivity always seem to fall in Bama's favor. Any time there is wiggle room at all to be subjective, Bama WILL get the benefit of the doubt.
Georgia lost 1 game by a FG on a neutral field after beating 3 straight ranked teams in November by no less than 9 pts. It was also their first loss in over two seasons.
FSU lost no games and beat 2 SEC teams away from Tallahassee.
Alabama lost by 2 scores at home, squeaked by a bad Arkansas team, barely beat a USF team and was a 4th & 31 from losing the last game of the regular season.
And the committee puts Bama in.

Hell, March Madness still has arguments about 64 or 65. Someone will always feel slighted.
But it carries far less punch when it's 12 or 13.

One was a rivalry game and one was a conference championship game. They won both by 2 scores. That's not struggling. Struggling is what Alabama did against Auburn.
