all this decision does is invalidate the season Florida State had. Go undefeated, win your conference and get a hearty "frick you" from the committee.

Wow.

They absolutely are.

FSU won the last couple of games without Travis, in a conference that beat the SEC head/head this year 6-4. Their defense is elite.

When you go undefeated and have a defense like FSU does, you earned it.

This is a stupid argument. TCU upset Michigan last year.

The CFP said that FSU was a different team over the last few weeks but Alabama should have lost to an horrible Auburn team.

Seeing TCU getting blown out last year was not fun. Florida State (at the end the season) reminds me a lot of 2022 TCU.

No, this is what happens when you determine playoff participation with a “selection committee,” rather than having predetermined qualifications.

I don’t disagree with you at all, the problem is they are not good without Travis. Their defense carried them the last few games.

They wouldn’t win in the playoffs and I think TCU blowout impacted the decision. They have very low viewership in that game

Both were overrated. But this gets fixed with 12 teams in 2024.

Against an overrated Michigan yes. Watching the national championship was painful. Florida State was heading towards a similar fate

Washington is not one of the 4 best teams in my opinion. If they were going to insert Bama then they should have also inserted either UGA or OSU.

Not with that defense. You can’t make a logical argument that the committee got it right.

If you've really watched the games in last few weeks, Alabama is one of the 4 best teams in the country.

Washington:
last second fg to beat Wazzou last week

Bama:
4th and goal from the 31 needing a muffed punt to get in striking range last week

FSU:
Wins a conference championship having to use their 3rd string QB bc of a dirty hit by Florida last week

There is no logic other than an SEC bias that puts Bama ahead.

And who will bring the biggest TV ratings for viewing championship game. It's all rigged, complete with non reviews of certain plays, and refs always looking the other way on key plays. And before someone says "those wacky LSU fans", everyone across the country knows it.

If they left FSU out because they want the best four, then Uga should be in - UT out. UT had the worse loss.

you watched Alabama vs Auburn and came away thinking THAT was one of the 4 best teams in the country?

if so, then you need to start watching games played outside of the SEC footprint.

I watched Washington v. Wash State. Bama is better than Washington
