95% of these people just want Bama to be out regardless of why.
Everyone has a pretty solid grasp on it. FSU went undefeated and Texas beat Alabama at Alabama by 10.

I’m not sure how watching the ACC championship tonight says FSU is the right choice….they would get boat raced by Bama, UGA, Texas, and probably SMU at this point.

because resume and results matter...undefeated conference champ. If we wanted to do 'best' you'd just use a vegas line.

It should be the four best teams in the country at the time the playoff teams are selected….period. Injuries suck and they happen and they affect a team’s worth.

Going into Friday...the committee would have picked Oregon over Washington, because they were better. Again, just have vegas pick the favorites as your 'best 4' if that is the thinking (GA, bama, MI, TX btw)
Not to mention-- EVERY SINGLE YEAR of this stupid committee has used the best resumes/most deserving, until now.
Injuries matter, but results matter more and an undefeated conference champ that schedules LSU and Florida OOC should get in - period.

Does that same logic apply to Bama over Texas?
If not it’s not worth anything.

Dont follow, point is its impossible to pick 'best' for certain so you have to use resumes/deserving teams (like they have the rest of there playoff's existence): Wash, MI, FSU, TX
This isn't that difficult tbh (unless you try to pick 'best')

that's the best win. that's better than bama's win today. period.
Why not play worst loss instead of best win…..Is Texas’ loss not worse than Bama’s loss?

Dont follow
Washington beat Oregon but Oregon is better
So that should naturally mean that
Texas beat Bama but Bama is better

It was four points. Texas beat Alabama by double digits.

Beat them twice actually.
I’m not sure why you’re screaming for Alabama to get in.

I’m not sure how you watch Bama barely beat. 6-6 Auburn last week on a prayer play that lost by 3 TDs the previous week to freaking New Mexico State.

First Iron Bowl?
Doesn’t matter. According to you and others how you play now matters more than the rest of the season.
How do you explain only beating 4-8 Arky at home by 3 points?
Or how about barely beating 7-5 A&M by 6?
Or struggling with USF?

I’m not talking about the points I’m talking about the opponent….losing to Texas is bette than losing to Oklahoma right? I mean shite Oklahoma lost the Ok St and the fighting Les Miles’ of Kansas!!!

They lost to Texas. Both teams end up with the same record. The tie breaker is the head to head win.
The end.
It’s not complicated.

Damn you people are so caught up with 13-0 vs 12-1 that you can’t see how those numbers got to where they are and then correlate that to what the team is doing right now today…..I know it’s hard but keep trying.
Posted on 12/3/23 at 12:58 am to LSU316
Bama lost at home by double digit to a one loss team. UT lost at a neutral site by 4 to a 2-loss team. Neither was a better loss.
Posted on 12/3/23 at 12:59 am to la_birdman
Again you people are just too simple.
