Gulfport - Kid friendly hotel/resort?

Little Jaxson (not his real name) is playing in a tournament in Gulfport in June. Looking for a recommendation on a hotel/resort in Gulfport or nearby. Considered Margaritaville but heard last year from some parents that it was ridiculously crowded and pool was unsanitary.

I can confirm Margaritaville is an absolute nightmare
Stayed once, never again

Technically you could say that for most topics on this board, correct? Thanks for your contribution.

Gulfport does not rhyme with resort. Either Courtyard on the ocean or Hampton Inn near Mugshots.

Place sucks, it’s an old military base.

If you want a nice hotel without a casino, try the White House in Biloxi. . I have stayed there. Atmospheric hotel with a very good bar and restaurant. But, as pretty and relaxing as it is, there is not a lot for children to do for entertainment.
Your son may prefer the Margaritaville with the amusement park and gigantic arcade, no matter how crowded it is. I have never stayed at the hotel, but I have been there.

Well a kid died at their pool last year. So probably some harsh help reviews that month.
Gulfport has some pretty solid amenities for kids if time isn’t fully taken by the tournament. There is a marine mammal rescue institute that is awesome, a Kroc aquatic center, a quality children’s museum, and the ohr-o’keefe museum (not a kids museum but a real gem for the area).

Yeah I like the White House
Rooms can be on the small side

Strong recommendation for the Oasis - we loved it with our little one

It's a nice property that was built to last, not your average disposable airport motel that will be gross in 20 years.
They had a lot of hidden fees which p*ss me off to no end. It's just a way of getting around booking third party sites. I try to avoid places like that as its hard to put on my expense account. Requires I do extra paper work.
