RB "stable"? What happened to having 1, if not 2, completely dominating RBs at LSU? This great OL and we have little running attack outside of our Heisman QB who got 1,000 yards.

“No way we will be as good as when Peyton was here.”

-Tennessee fans in 1998.

Y’all just chill. This will be a great team. BK will fix the DL and The DBackfield.

He did it with the portal in 2022. 2023 was tough. Real tough.

And I'm not worried about the DC hire. Kelly will nail it.

He literally took a home run swing and whiffed on the last one - why are you so confident in the next one?

At this point, the defense has 1 playmaker. One. Does not look good.

So far House is still DC and we lose a ton of production on offense, that will be a step down. Not looking too hot. How could anyone be very excited about next year? Without JD, this is a 4 win team at best.

Kyren Lacy coming back, most likely.

If he can correct the drops, I think he would become a 1st rd pick.

He has already corrected the drops.

Did you miss his drops last game? His TD catch was great at least.

How can they rest, when they can't stop anyone and get off the field.

I think people expecting a huge dropoff in offensive effectiveness are off base. No doubt the offense will look different, primarily you won't have a QB taking off for 40+ yard runs several times a game. But you will definitely have a deep passing game, an effective running game with multiple good running backs with different skill sets, effective use of the tight end, and an experienced offensive line. Combine that with a coaching staff that clearly knows how to scheme for what they have and what they're against, and there's no reason to think the 2024 will be any less effective than 2023. Sure it will probably get the job done differently, but it should still be feared up and down the schedule.

Don't think we'll need it to. I'm calling it now , top 10 rushing attack on the nation EASILY. Low scoring affairs with a well rested defense is how LSU wins in 2024.

Lol. Oh so you think they just need some rest?

The number one strength we will have is that O line and rb stable. It's absolutely filthy.

Hate to break it to you but Nuss will need a year of on field development before he can carry this team. Alot of people here will want him benched after a week or 2. Thats how it went for all the good QBs we've had- mediocre learning season followed by a good season. Jamarcus, Burrow, JD, all of them had a learning curve.

yes, i dont have a time stamp but fairly early on there was a pass midfield, probably 15 yards, that he caught for a moment a moment and fumbled it out.

Nuss has had 3 years of semi-sporadic in-game experience to lean on. He'll get the bowl game as well. I fully expect him to be ready to lead the team next year.

As much as I want to believe that I just don’t see it. Our o line will be great. Qb can make all the throws but not the dual threat that we’ve become used to the last two years. Offense will obviously take a step back but should be better than average imo. Next season is gonna come down to if our defense can improve from their awful year this year. Huge changes are gonna have to be made as everyone knows. I see 9-3 as the ceiling next year.
