It’s over stated that this would be a bonanza for LSU. It’s a good thing, but fans are diluted as to the significance.

1959 - 2019, that’s 60 years in between Billy Cannon and Joe Burrow winning the Heisman. 2019 - 2023, that’s four years in between Joe Burrow winning it and Jayden Daniels the leading Heisman candidate. I think LSU is not during enough to push JD over the top, Coach K is during everything he can to speak truth to reality. When NIL first became legal and LSU was trying to prove they were players in the NIL game didn’t they have a billboard of Olivia Dunne in Times Square? Well that’s the type of advertising they should be doing for Jayden because if JD wins the Heisman this year that 5* QB flood gate would open right into Baton Rouge. Yo Woodard, here’s an idea, since JD is not playing during conference championship weekend get your people together and make up DVD’s of JD highlights and accomplishments and send them to all of the Heisman voters during championship weekend to keep JD on there minds. Come on LSU, this defense costs us a shot at the chip don’t let it cost JD the Heisman, TURN IT UP!!!!!

Need to get him successfully thru Saturday with a solid performance and for sure win. If we lose to A&M, the change of any heisman reduces drastically.

If everything goes as expected this weekend, Lsu can officially go all in on a media Heisman campaign for JD.

Me. I think I have two.

I also have 2 or 3 VHS VCRs.

Haven't made a dent in the deceased parents house because a-hole siblings haven't lifted a finger to help. I have 76 years of accumulated crap.

How many 5* QBs rushed to Auburn after 2010? How many 5* QBs rushed to Baylor after 2011? How many 5* QBs rushed to aTm after 2012? How many 5* QBs rushed to FSU after 2013? Louisville after 2016?

Those are all 1-offs. You did miss the point, even if the OP did not present it that eloquently. It would not be the LSU QB winning ONE Heisman, it would the LSU QB winning TWO HEISMANS in FOUR SEASONS. That would be a pretty big deal to future QB recruits.

But even if Jayden doesn’t win it, it appears his season is already paying dividends as it looks like the Underwood kid is going to commit in the next month or so. He’s not just an 5 star, but supposed to be one of the highest rated QB in several cycles. And he’s from Michigan.

But it’s more than just the Heisman. It’s the 1st round NFL WR talent they’ll be surrounded by, the high-powered offense that can be tailored around their skill sets, the NFL development they’ll get, etc…
Again, Jayden doesn’t even have to win the Heisman, but any competent coaching staff should be able to leverage the ‘19 and ‘23 offenses and be able to capitalize by landing highly ranked QBs.

Yeah. I’m surprised we haven’t see any promotions for JD in Times Square. I remember when Oregon had a huge billboard for Joey Harrington.

How’d that work out for Harrington? The people in Times Square aren’t Heisman voters so it would be a big waste of money.
