Migrants Get Free Turkeys for Thanksgiving Ahead of Low-Income New Yorkers

Brietbart
According to local reports and interviews, New Yorkers living in public housing are competing against tens of thousands of newly arrived migrants to New York City when it comes to meals this Thanksgiving.
“Why do we have to take the butt of everything,” New Yorker Georgia Butler told FOX5 New York in an interview. “This community is already suffering.”
“[The migrants] were first in line for the turkeys this morning,” Butler continued. “They tell you to be there at 11 o’clock. You get there at like 10:30, 10:45, but they are already out there. The line is from over there to over here.”
Already, low-income New Yorkers are dealing with strained resources. This week, city officials said they would offer $15 gift cards to those in public housing who have been forced to go without gas to cook meals for months.
In addition, Mayor Eric Adams has announced billions in budget cuts for New Yorkers after the city spent nearly $1.5 billion in just the last year on newly arrived migrants. By the end of next year, the city is projected to spend $12 billion on migrants.
A whole $15 gift card? Pathetic

15 gets you what a child’s McNugget meal?

Making it only $15 is essentially telling them, "frick you and shut up!"

Stop voting for it.

Quick anecdotal story about this....
So I left my house for work yesterday at 6:45 in the morning. There is a church nearby that I have to pass to get to work.
There was a line over a mile long to receive a free turkey. Some of the cars were even nicer than my car and I have a nice freaking car
If you're rolling around in a RR and an X7, there is a very good change you don't need anything free.
Probably just simps taking advantage of the situation.

Pandering for SJW quality points has an extremely expensive price tag.
Be careful what you wish for, you might actually get it.

Thanksgiving to Mexicans and Hondurans is a Thursday. Thanksgiving is American.

Queensbridge?
No, I don't think this is the same thing.

A significant portion of the world’s population lives in abject poverty above and beyond what almost any American can imagine. Resourcefulness - including what I’ll call “social resourcefulness” like in this story - is ingrained in these people from generations upon generations back.
Put simply, they know how to survive. And a free handout is something they’ll move Heaven and earth to get if it means their family lives another day. Sorry these “lazy” New Yorkers didn’t have the same drive when they woke up this morning.
I’ll reserve comment on whether we should be giving migrants (legal or illegal) handouts at all.

Maybe it's time for blue areas to stop voting blue.

The problem is giving out 'free' turkeys on the gov (tax payer) dime.
But "officials" almost certainly contacted Illegal support groups and told them where and when to show up. That's Dem elected officials actively sticking it to their fellow constituents, aka those who voted them into office.
They literally asked for this, now they're getting it.

Only one of these groups will end up being productive citizens someday.

Says a lot about these people.

Gooooood....goooood...
Let the broke arse New Yorkers learn their place this holiday season, if they're nice maybe some of the "Undocumented Americans" will share some crumbs
I think there need to be more cuts, if the broke arse people will do with a little less the Refugees can have even more!
I say cut public programs until the complaining stops, if they want more than what they're being given they can:
1) Get jobs, side jobs, and/or better jobs (not likely)
2) Complain about it
3) Complain about it, get off their arse AND loot local stores
They voted for this, let them suffer

Someone able to clear this up for me? I know they voted to not let new gas bldg, didn't think it was going towards old ones and especially the projects.
This $15 GC response is not a surprising leftie response.

I did hear Adams was making budget cuts.

If only the Right would be able to message it right and get them. That's the problem. The "you voted for this" mantra 8s only something we say amongst ourselves. Not something the RNC has the nards to get billboards, subway signs, commercials etc etc to just tell them straight up what their vote has been getting them.
